Intelligence was working a case where 20yr was killed and cut up they found out the killer was her EX Kenny Owen so they went to arrest him and when they got there Kenny saw them and raised his gun to shoot at an innocent bystander but before the bullet could hit Jay jumped in front of her and took the bullet in the shoulder Hailey immediately ran to his side and applied pressure while Vanessa called for ambulance then went with team who was chasing him after a couple of minutes the ambulance arrives they load Jay up and Hailey goes with while back with guys they caught Kenny a few blocks over they then head to hospital after a couple of hours Will comes out and says he's in recovery the Bullet grazed his Brachial artery so they had to patch that up and when he hit the ground he hit head  which has caused swelling in his brain so he's in a medically induced coma right now. They team is in utter shock Vanessa looks over Hailey who looks devastated and sad Haile then asked if they could see him he says 2 people at a time so the team pairs up and visits Kim and Adam go first then Kevin and Vanessa then Voight then Hailey goes as sits then Voight's tells her she can stay so she does and she doesn't leave for the next couple of days then Will finally come in and says they are going to take him out of the coma Hailey gets happy and then the Drs and Nurses came in and took him out and Will said he should be waking up within the next couple of hours 2 hrs after they took him out Hailey started talking to him and telling he cant leave her she needs her partner and the world needs someone who isn't scared of bullets and someone who will take a bullet for them even if they don't know you we need you  please wake up a couple of minutes later hailey was now crying when jay woke up
J: why are you crying
H: your awake
J: yeah why were crying
H: no reason how are you are you in any pain
J: im good and a little
H: jay don't lie to me I wont think any less of you if you are so what is your pain level from 1-10
J: ok A 8
H: ok I'll go get the dr but was that so hard
J: *laughs* yeah
H: ok soldier boy.
J: soldier boy that's new
H: yep and your new nickname
J: ok so that means I can give you a new nickname
H: nooo
J: yeah how about bell pepper
H: how do you come up with that
J: easy how red your cheeks are when you get embarrassed
H: I do not go red like a bell pepper
Jay laughed and said
J: it's bell pepper or tomato
H: neither come up with a better one soldier boy
J: nope either you pick or bell pepper it is
H: ughh fine
Jay laughed as she rolled her eyes and went to get the dr she came back with the dr he increased jays pain meds then left the jay said
J: you act like a teenager
H: how
J: you legit just rolled your eyes at a nickname
H: ok that don't make me a teen
J: ok if you say so
H: I will punch you
J: you wouldn't punch an injured man
H: wanna try me
J: you won't
She gently punched him he was clearly shocked by this action
H: you were saying
J: he said you just barely did it which means I was right if I didn't push you wouldn't have done it so I was technically right
Hailey rolled her eyes
H: whatever
J: you act just like a teenager you know that
H: do not
J: you just rolled your eyes and said Whatever
H: so what
He just laughed then the team came in they all talked chatted had a good time around 11 everyone left but hailey jay tried convince her To go home but she wouldn't leave she
H: as long as your here so am I
J: you will have to leave sometime
H: no
J: we will see
Hailey grew suspicious but brushed it off like it was nothing
Then ethan came in checked him out and said you can be discharged in an hr but you will have to stay with someone
H: he can stay with me
E: ok
Ethan left
J: you don't have to I can will be fine by myself
H: no you won't be and the dr said someone needs to take care of you soldier boy
He laughed at the name
J: I'll be fine bell pepper
H: bell Pepper really
J: * laughs* only fair since I'm soldier boy
H: you are soldier boy I mean you did serve
J: true
H: can't you come up with another one
J: no
H: oh boy
J: haha it's only fair
H: still
She stuck her lip out and did puppy dog eyes
J: I'm still not changing it and that's not gonna work
H: what why it always works
J: I've learned how to not care
H: meanie
J: again a teenager
She rolled her eyes then Ethan came in with his discharge papers he signed them and let them leave hailey took jay to his place and was gonna stay there he was ok with it so they get to his place he shows her around then they sit down order takeout and watch movies till they got tired then went to sleep around 3 jay heard a scream he knew it was hailey so he hopped out of bed in nothing but pants and walked into her room to find her sitting up panting he walked over sat on the bed and brought her closer to him and hugged her she relaxed In his arms he whispered your good I'm here she calmed down when she did
J: you good now
H: yeah
J: ok
He got up to leave although he didn't want to and as he was walking out she said
H: stay please
J: you sure
H: yes
She scooted over he walked back over laid down she cuddled into him and he just welcomed her with open arms she laid her head on his chest and he held her waist and brought her closer she then went back to sleep. The next morning hailey woke up first she smiled because she knew she was laying on jay and he holding her a few minutes later jay woke up and saw she was wide awake so he said
J: good morning
H: good morning
He decided to be brave so he said
J: I love you
H: I love you to
He leaned down kissed her she deepened the kiss then sat up and put both her legs around jays and continue then they had some well needed and deserved exercise

Sorry it's short and really horrible I had part of this written then just lost inspiration but I still wanted to write it so I did the best I could  but don't worry next weeks part will be better
