What Was I Thinking

****Layla's POV****

What was I thinking,going in there,that's Mike Dirnt,the guy that everybody hated,except me. I had known him since middle school,but we had never acknowledged each other,then I go in there,and he's all up on me,I want to go back,but I feel uncomfortable being around him. I have had the biggest crush on him ever since I knew him,but he's a bad boy,and I'm a goody goody,we would never work out,he would never even like me,I just had to go outside for a minute,so I could freak out,I was centimeters away from his lips,I could have kissed him,but I was way to shy,it would be really awkward if I went back in there. I was sitting on the steps,and I heard the door open,I closed my eyes tight,praying it would be his mom,but no such luck. Mike came out,and sat right down next to me.

" You can't go home,I still need you to help me with my homework " He said with a smirk.

" Okay,but you have to promise me you'll stay focused this time " I said,trying to remain calm,I got butterflies just being near him.

" I was focused before,just not on studying " He replied with a smirk and a wink. I felt like I could just faint,and was hoping I didn't blush or something stupid like that.

" Alright,I guess I could stay for a little while longer " I sighed. He got up,and extended his ahnd. I rolled my eyes,and took it,and he bent down,and kissed it. I was screaming inside,but kept my cool

" After you " He said,holding the door open for me. I gave him a small smile,and walked in.

I started up the stairs,and I could just feel his eyes on me. I wanted to turn around,and kiss him right there,but it won't happen,I was scared,scared to even be over here period. He walked in behind me,and he picked up his notebook.

" I need help with this " His said pointing to an equation,we were just starting to learn these challenging kind,and I was a little hung up on how to do it myself.

" Okay,I'll try,but I'm not very good at these either " I admitted, taking a seat on the floor. We studied and studied,and we still couldn't figure it out,after an hour of working on it.

" I don't know,I'm stumped...but it's getting late,I still have to go home and get ready for bed " I started.

" You're not leaving until we figure this out " He said,pulling me back down. We worked on it longer,and I was surprised how much he was actually staying on task,although his eyes did travel to my chest a couple times,but I just pretended like I didn't notice.

" I got it !! " He yelled,and it kind of scared me,as I was about half asleep.

" What ? " I asked quick,and with a yawn.

" X equals twelve and a half " He said like he had know it all along.

" Good job,I guess your learning,just try to do this at school,when I'm not with you,and you'll have good grades in no time " I said getting up,and grabbing my jacket.

" Where are you going ? " He asked with a smile.

" Home,you already got your lesson for today,and I've over stayed my welcome anyways " I explained.

" Oh yeah,well I'll see you tomorrow I guess,you will be coming over tomorrow right ? " He asked,I couldn't tell if he was serious,or if he just wanted to pull a prank.

" I don't know,we'll see " I sighed.

" Why wouldn't you ? " He asked,standing up,and pulling his shirt down. I could see his stomach where his shirt was riding up,and he had abb's for days,the guy was ripped,here go the butterflies all over again.

" It depends on if I can handle putting up with your smart ass for an hour or so " I said with a wink,and left. He just smiled and shook his head

****Mike's POV****

I loved this girl,she was smart,pretty,and not all about following the rules,she could bend them a little bit,which I liked. I knew she liked me,just by the way she talked to me and acted around me,plus she used to look at me all the time in middle school,and when I would look back,she would look away. Aww girls and their puppy love,but me,I didn't have crushes,I had one night stands,and girlfriends,out of the question,but knowing my mom,she always tries to make me go to those stupid prom's they have each year at the school,and there is no way I'm going to one of those,it would ruin my reputation. But I was pretty proud of myself,I actually got some work done,and it was all because of a stupid girl.
