The A2 class was quite noisy as there was no teacher around. Their lesson at that moment was History and they couldn't be more glad that their teacher was running late.
Some students were talking about the latest gossip in town, Nayeon as their president.
Others singing the latest songs, Jihyo as their president.
Others also studying, well actually, Namjoon was studying.
Others were talking about the upcoming football matches, Jackson as their president, who would once in a while receive smacks on his shoulder from his seatmate, Jennie, for being too loud.
The rest were also doing their own thing.
Things were running smoothly (as smooth as could be for the A2 class) until the entire class hushed down completely at the deep voice of Taehyung.
"Lisa! Let's date!"
Everyone knew how close Taehyung and Lalisa had become over the past few weeks and some even suspected that they were dating but eventually discarded the thought seeing as Lalisa was still smitten over Jungkook.
So, hearing Taehyung ask Lalisa to date came as a shock.
First of all, Taehyung and Jennie seemed to have a thing going although they weren't sure.
Also, it was very clear that Jungkook was trying to reach out to Lalisa. The boy who thought he was being subtle about his intentions had no idea that his classmates had already long caught on to him.
Who wouldn't when everytime he looked at her ot even glanced her way, a smile automatically formed on his lips.
So, why would Taehyung try to get the girl who his best friend was now trying to pursue after rejecting her for five years.
Jungkook began to cough uncontrollably and Taehyung stared at him weirdly but still patted his back and offered him water which the latter declined.
"What?", Lalisa asked with wide eyes. Yes she liked Taehyung but not in that way. To her, Taehyung was like the weird, hyper yet insightful brother she never had.
Unlike Bambam who was like the overly dramatic brother she never had, nor did she wish to have.
"I said let's date."
"But, why?"
"Come on Lis, is that really a question to ask?", Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"B-but-"
"Come on.", Taehyung grabbed her arm and pulled her out of class into the hallway.
"Are you insane Tae? I thought you like Jennie.", Lalisa whisper-yelled.
"Jennie? Of course I like Jennie. But what does that have to do with me dating you?", Taehyung looked like a confused puppy at this point.
"If you like Jennie then why would you want yo date me?"
"Why wouldn't I want to date you?", Taehyung asked, still confused about her behaviour.
"You like Jennie and I'm positive Jennie like you back so that means you two could be in a relationship.", Lalisa explained to the lost child
"Yes I like Jennie and I could probably see us in a relationship in the future but what does that have to do with me dating you?"
"Everything!"
"But this isn't the first time we've dated."
"What?", Lalisa was now the confused one.
"Remember we dated at the amusement park, and also at the cafe, even one time at the beach and-"
"Tae those were dates, friendly dates.", Lalisa sighed, finally getting the picture.
"Exactly. We dated."
"No Taehyung, we went on dates."
"What's the difference? It's all the same."
"No it's not."
"Yes it is. If I tell you 'let's swim' which is equivalent to 'going out for a swim with me', what would we be doing? We'd be swimming. If I said 'let's eat' which is equivalent to 'eating with me or going out for a meal with me', what would we be doing? We'd be eating. So, if I told you let's date, what would we need doing? We'd be dating.", Taehyung explained.
"But there's a difference. Dating isn't the same as all the other examples.", Lalisa sighed.
"So you're telling me that dating is no longer a verb? Because I'm pretty sure that's how verbs work."
"You know what, forget it. Let's date.", Lalisa sighed and smiled making the boy grin that boxy grin of his.
Lalisa knew she could never win in arguments against Taehyung so she didn't even bother trying.
"We could go to the movies.", Taehyung suggested.
"That'd be great. There's this movie that I've been dying to see."
"Not so fast, I'm the one who'll be choosing the movie we're going to see."
"What? Why? Shouldn't I be the one to choose?", Lalisa pouted.
"You're not the one who's paying for the tickets. "
"Then I'll pay for them."
"Don't be ridiculous. Of course I'll pay for the tickets. That'd make me look bad since I asked you."
"But...fine.", Lalisa finally agreed. One could never win an argument against Taehyung.
"Good."
Both then walked back to the class who seemed to be anticipating their arrival.
"So, are you both dating.", Jisoo voiced out the question they all had running through their minds immediately the two sat down .
"No, not yet but later today."
"O-kay?", Jisoo was confused by his answer but let slide knowing she would get a clearer one from Lalisa.
"So you're really going to date her?", Jungkook asked, his voice low. He didn't know why it came out that way, maybe because of the coughing fit he had minutes ago or the lump in his throat.
"Yes, I don't see why not, she even agreed to it.", Taehyung was confused at why they were all acting that way. They had seen Taehyung and Lalisa hang out at least once or twice so what made this time so different?
"Okay, that's great.", Jungkook nodded.
He understood why Lalisa would want to date Taehyung. Taehyung was smart, funny, gentle, kind and very good looking. He could be any girl's ideal guy.
Even if he was upset that Lalisa chose Taehyung over he Jungkook, he would still accept it. Taehyung was a good guy and he would never be half the guy Taehyung was for Lalisa.
Not long after, their History teacher arrived and the class began.
An important factor to consider after the whole ordeal was that Jennie was still asleep.
