So I should've been studying but I wrote this instead... If my parents found out, they'd be pissed cuz they really expect me to get a good grade for math... but this one upload won't hurt :) I hope! Anyways, enjoy, i think it might reach 2 pgs, if not, boo hoo! Enjoy!

“Table for 2,” Brody said, puffing out his chest to the waiter who, surprisingly, was slightly more enlarged than Brody.

“Sure thing, man. Right this way,” the waiter said. In my opinion, he looked like a 20 something year old in a 2 year old’s clothes. It just didn’t look right. Never thought I’d live to see the day where someone is bigger than Brody, the steroid looking guy.

“Here you are milady,” Brody said, pulling out my chair. I smiled slightly and hung my head down low to hide my stupid blush.

“Here are your menus. Anything to drink?” the waiter asked.

“Just water,” I said softly.

“Same here,” Brody said and sent a wide grin my way. I turned my head away and watched as the waiter walked away.

“Hmm, this sounds good,” Brody said. I simply nodded and focused on my menu. Everything was slightly expensive, not too much, but still.

“Just a salad,” I said. Brody raised an eyebrow.

“I never see you as that kind of girl,” Brody said. I frowned.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“The kind of girl that restricts herself from eating any real food to lose weight,” he said, shaking his head.

“I’m not-“

“Truthfully, I think you’re perfect,” he said, then paused, “just the way you are.”

I smiled as he sang the last part. “Thanks,” I said, blushing slightly, which was to be expected from such a sweet comment.

“Well, it’s true,” he said.

“I’m not actually one of those girls, Brody. It’s just that I don’t want to spend too much money,” I admitted. He laughed.

“I’ll be paying, don’t worry,” he said.

A few minutes later, the waiter came back with a bored expression on his face.

“Ready?” he asked. I could just picture him holding back a yawn.

“Yeah, a New York strip in medium rare for me with extra mash potatoes and gravy. For the pretty lady, the fettuccini alfredo with a side salad,” Brody ordered, winking at me. I smiled, pretty surprised that I hadn’t at all blushed.

I don’t know why I had anything to worry about. Brody is actually a pretty nice guy.

“Padiddle!”

I laughed.

“You wish,” I said with a smile.

We had just got out of the theater and were driving home. It was about 9, and pretty dark out. Brody had just started to yell “padiddle” just a few minutes ago. You know, it’s that game you play in the dark while driving. If you see a car with a one dead headlight or a license plate from another state, and you yell “padiddle”. The last person to do so has to remove an article of clothing, or in some cases, get kissed.

“Hey, you totally missed it!” Brody whined. “That was totally legit!”

I nodded, unbelievingly. “You keep telling yourself that, buddy,” I said. We were nearing Addie’s house, where I’d be staying for the night.

“I will,” he mumbled, which was hilarious for some reason and made me burst in laughter.

“I had a fun time,” I said. He smiled.

“You seemed surprised,” he said.

I shrugged. “I’m usually not so comfortable with boys. As you may notice, I blush a lot,” I said.

He nodded. “Yeah I noticed. I think it’s completely cute,” he said.

“Thanks,” I said.

“I think Luke is seriously missing out,” Brody said. At the mention of Luke’s name, I finally remembered about the one boy I had supposedly liked. How could I just forget?

“What do you mean?” I asked.

He chuckled. “It’s pretty obvious you like Luke,” he said. “But I think it’s just a minor attraction. I think you like someone else more and just haven’t realized it yet.”

“And who may that be?” I asked. “You?”

“I wish,” he said seriously. “But no, not me, someone else.”

“Well, thanks for your observation comments,” I said, feeling a bit uneasy that he knew about Luke.

“No problem,” he said. “Good night, Ever.”

I smiled. “Night.”

And then I did the one thing that I hadn’t planned on. I leaned closer and kissed cheek.

I saw him grin as I ran up to the door of Addie’s house.

I rang the doorbell and Declan answered the door. I blushed as I saw him in only basketball shorts.

“Addie’s asleep,” he said, letting me in. I nodded. Addie tended to fall asleep early sometimes, and then other times, she could stay awake for the longest time.

“I’ll head up,” I said softly.

“How was your outing?” Declan asked. Why didn’t he call it a date?

“Really fun. Brody is a really cool guy, no wonder you’re friends with him,” I said, smiling. Declan nodded, but a frown was on his face.

“Good night,” he said. I nodded and headed up to Addie’s room. I washed my face and changed my clothes and got settled down on the floor where my sleeping stuff was.

I closed my eyes and replayed Brody’s words.

Who could I like that I haven’t realized it yet?

*Who's the boy? Girl? Haha, jk, it's a boy!

Wasn't Brody such a sweetie pie? Reminds me of a big 'ol teddy :)
