Omg so sorry! So I got home from school and I was gonna upload right away but my internet connection was realllllyyyy slow so i just quit that and then i went over to my friend, Tory's house and i even brought my flashdrive so i could upload on her comp but i guess we were too busy gossiping and stuff cuz i got home like 3 hrs hour ago and just now realized i forgot to upload... but luckily, my internet is back to normal speed so i get the chance to upload... its short, but i've already started the next chap so im hoping i'll upload soon :) enjoy!

The next day at school, I was met by Brody. He was wearing a top that seemed a bit small and clung onto his body, emphasizing his scary muscles even more.

“Hey Ever,” he said. I started blushing without being able to help myself. I’m not even attracted to him for crying out loud!

“Hey,” I said softly. He smiled.

“So what’s up?” he asked.

“Um, nothing much,” I said. He nodded. I went to my locker and stuffed the contents of my bag and then turned to look at him. He was staring off into the distance.

“Brody?” I asked, poking him in his overgrown arm.

He turned to me and turned the slightest shade of pink.

“So you busy Friday?” he asked. I shrugged.

“I’d probably just hang out with Addie,” I said.

“Cool,” he muttered. I raised an eyebrow.

“I guess I’ll go now,” I said, and gave him an awkward half wave. I had walked half way to my class before I was stopped right in my tracks.

“Wait!” Brody yelled from across the hall. “Want to go out this Friday?”

As the whole student body turned to look at us, I blushed, I think the most I’ve ever blushed.

“Uh,” I said, not knowing what else to say.

“Come on, Ever, you’ll have fun,” he said.

“I-“

“She’ll make it,” Addie said for me. Since when was she standing there?

“Cool, I’ll see you then,” Brody said. He hugged me swiftly and then went off to his classroom. I just stared at his disappearing figure with wide eyes, wondering what the hell just went on.

“Um, what just happened?” I asked.

“Brody asked you out and I agreed,” Addie said, pulling me along.

“But I can’t,” I said.

“Oh, come on!” Addie said.

“No,” I said, then paused. “Brody is not the guy you’re talking about, is he?”

She shook her head. “No, but he may,” she said.

“Why’d you agree to it?” I demanded.

“Because, it’ll get you to loosen up a bit,” she said. “And maybe at the end, you’ll forget Luke, and keep yourself open for someone else.”

“But I can’t. You know how I am!” I protested.

“Yeah, but then this could be practice for you,” she said. “You have no feelings towards Brody, so it’ll be fine.”

I thought about it. She was right. This way, I could try and not blush around guys. I mean, what was the harm. The worst that could happen is that I get myself embarrassed, but no one probably knows me so that’s not a big problem.

“Sure,” I said, agreeing. Addie smiled.

“Good, I’ll help you get ready,” Addie said. I nodded.

I was suddenly nervous. What things will go wrong? I mean, I’ve never exactly been on a date before.

*So what's going to happen at the date?

Surprised it was Brody?
