Chapter Twenty-Two: Warmth

No way...

It's him.

"G...Gadget?..." I stammered as my eyes welled up with tears and my throat became tight, unable to fully process the situation.

"Yes, it's me, Zero" Gadget smiled widely and entered the cave. However, something was different about him.

Gadget carried the ruby on his chest, but the ruby was smaller than before. The gunshot wound he had scarred over and his fur looked shiny - as if he wasn't even buried in the first place.

I didn't notice I was crying until I felt the first tear drip down my cheek.

I didn't know the ruby can revive others...

I quickly ran to him and hugged him tightly, tears continued to fall. He hugged me in return and I could hear him sobbing too.

"I m-missed you, s-so much" I shakily breathed out and looked at him, his bright amber eyes locked onto mine. He cupped my cheek, "I missed you too" he planted a soft kiss on my forehead.

I sat down with him and stroked his short fur, "Do you know what happened?" I asked softly.

"Not really, all I remember is dying then waking up with the ruby attached to my chest and I escaped the grave" Gadget explained and nuzzled into my chest.

"I never knew the ruby could revive others..." I sighed. "That's definitely something to record in what the ruby can do"

Gadget hummed and glanced at the bandages wrapped around my chest, he frowned, "You...took out your ruby...for me?"

I nodded, "It always belonged to you, when you did...pass...it was the only thing I could give you" I explained.

He smiled warmly, "Thank you..."

I rubbed his ear gently, "Heh, you don't need to thank me" I tilted his chin up slightly. "I love you, Gadget, I always will"

"I love you too, Zero" he rubbed my cheek. "Always"

I leaned in and kissed Gadget lovingly, his lips moved in sync with mine and he wrapped his arms around my neck. I deepened the kisses and stroked his back, he pressed his smaller body into me, being careful of not hurting me with the sharp tip of the ruby.

My hands rested over his hips as I slipped my tongue in his mouth, exploring the warm insides and being met with Gadget's tongue battling mine. We fought for a few minutes before I won over him and smirked, nipping his tongue playfully afterwards.

"Ngh!" Gadget winced and pouted. "Hey, no biting" he whined but chuckled after.

I laughed gently, "Oh?" I purred into his neck, "I would've thought you'd love to be marked~" I nibbled on his neck.

Gadget purred softly, "Sh-shut up.." he ran a hand through my long, white locks of hair.

I chuckled and licked around his neck, adding light kisses occasionally. He purred deeper as I continued and he yelped when I dug my teeth into his neck. I created a fresh claim mark on the other side of the old one, holding him close to me.

Once I detached my teeth from the bite I lovingly licked the blood off and soothed him, I noticed his tail wagging quite rapidly.

"Excited, are we?" I looked at him with my smirk remaining.

He blushed in embarrassment, nodding softly.

I kissed under his jawline and massaged his thighs, "Then let's have some fun" my fingers grazed underneath his tail.

Gadget rubbed his crotch over my own, he used his hand to expertly coax out my own member while becoming hard on his own.
