POV: Gadget
After being healed, Infinite helped me to stand and walked back to the cave. I was very unsure of my decision to submit to him but he stopped tormenting me for the meantime so I guess that's a benefit.
Sitting in the corner of the cave, I hugged my legs and stared at the grey walls in thought.
Now how am I going to contact the Resistance?
Infinite would most definitely kill me for turning against him.
I glanced at him sitting at the entrance of the cave, I could tell he was deep in thought too, what he was thinking about I am unsure of but it scared me to even know about what's going on in his head.
My stomach grumbled softly, I didn't have my nutrient bar on me because I left it at when I seen the stupid illusion of Sonic.
Why did I fall for that?
I decided to remain quiet, too scared to even ask for some form of food.
My stomach didn't go unheard though.
"You think I didn't hear your stomach there?" Infinite spoke up and walked to me, he knew I couldn't do fast movements due to my side so he pinned me to the corner pretty easily.
I gulped but remained silent, it's been weeks since I've had a decent meal, I've just been picking crumbs off my food bar to sustain me.
"I'm not going to let you starve. Like I said, I have no intentions of letting you die" Infinite walked away. "I will see what I can find. Stay put or there will be no food." he scowled and left me alone.
I didn't bother trying to escape, or even move, because I know Infinite is full of traps and tricks. Hell, I know now that I can't even leave because of the invisible barrier on the entrance of the cave.
My side still hurt occasionally, he really done some damage but thankfully he didn't hit any of my vitals. My hand was healing better with the cast off and my fur was growing back more, I can now move my fingers without feeling pain and can move my wrist just fine, it just hurts to put pressure on my hand.
Thankfully, my glasses are still here and not broken. The most important item on my body right now is those, if I loose those or if they break I won't be able to see that far and it will be more difficult to locate far distances.
Hopefully I can at least preserve my glasses from that masked monster, it may be the only thing I can preserve by time he's done with me.
My thoughts were interrupted by a small thud. I jumped from the thud and looked at Infinite who came in with a small rabbit, obviously dead.
The same rabbit I came across...
Infinite looked at me, "You get a fire started and I'll prepare the meat." he sat down and started to skin the rabbit with a blade, removing the fur and cutting the meat from the bone.
I almost barfed from the sight but gladly took my leave only for him to stop me by grabbing my wrist.
"Just before you go." he used his ruby to make a small red bracelet over my wrist, it was tight against my skin but was breathable, however it looked impossible to get it off.
"What's this?" I asked wearily, shaking my gaze from the rabbit beside him.
"A tracker. You cannot go far without that device signalling me" Infinite explained and let my wrist go from his strong grip. "It also allows you pass of the barrier but I will also be notified."
