Ace scream rang through the air as I blocked Akainu's punch with my broken sword imbued with Haki. The sword burned up quickly before the magma hit my side and hit Ace in the stomach, searing his back before I kicked Akainu in the face as my screams to stop rang through the air. My Haki went haywire and I knocked a lot of people out as Akainu froze in place. Distraught, I watch Ace collapse onto Luffy as he began crying.
"I'm sorry! I couldn't let you save me properly! Forgive me... It's no ...good.. I can tell when my own end has come.. He's...burned up my back...and spine... "
"What are you talking about Ace?! Are you going to die?" Luffy asked
I collapsed to my knees and outstretched my hands as I leaned on Ace's back as I enhanced him, pressing kiss on his back helped but it wasn't closing up fast enough. I could still see his burnt organs. Jimbei and Vista protected us from Akainu. Ace grabbed my hand and brought it to his mouth, kissing it as Luffy screamed for Ace not to die. I cried on his back as I begged for my enhancing to be faster.
"You...know if it weren't for Sabo.. and having a little brother like you... I would have never even wanted to live... You know (M/N)... I've only known you ..for a few months but .. You make me...happy... Oh yeah I you run.. into Dadan..could you tell him goodbye for me? It's weird...now that I'm about to die... I feel like I miss that idiot." Ace smiled
"I have just two regrets... that I won't be able to see your dream come true...Luffy but I know you can do it... You're my brother... after all. (M/N) ... I'm sorry... I could never tell you properly that I love you.." Ace voice was getting quieter
"My voice... it's getting too quiet.. Luffy, (M/N) listen to what I have to say and tell it to the others afterwards.. All you guys! Even though I have been good for nothing my whole life... You guys still loved me! Thank you so much!"
"I...love you too" I cracked
Ace collapsed backwards in my arms as he embraced death with one last kiss to my hand and a smile on his face. I began crying before I noticed Luffy who looked...gone. I grabbed Luffy and hugged him as he screamed Ace's name. Marco blocked Akainu's next attack before Whitebeard came in and punched the bastard as the whole ground trembled and a massive earthquake was left which separated us from him. Unfortunately, people think it's a good idea by trying to mess with Whitebeard. I never hated Blackbeard so much in my life.
The bastards attacked Whitebeard but he still wasn't dead even. He gave Blackbeard the greatest ass beating I've seen before getting attacked even more but even in his near death. He was still standing. He told Blackbeard that he wasn't one of them. He is not one of the men Roger waits for. Those who carry the will of Roger and now have also come to carry the will of Ace even though the bloodline is now extinguished, their flame still lives on. Its been passed down since long ago, the will of D. It would be a grand battle that would engulf the world.
"ONE PIECE... IT EXISTS!"
Even though, Whitebeard is now dead. He fought valiantly even after losing half of his face, he mows down enemies effortlessly. In this battle, he was slashed 267 times. He was hit by no less than 562 bullets and as far as cannonballs go, he was hit by 46 yet there was never a scar on his back throughout his life as I pirate. My body that felt frozen to the ground as I cried was picked up by none other than Jimbei and Luffy was next to me as my glazed eyes watched everthing that was happening. I couldn't move as I kept crying. My whole body just gave up. I felt like I was a spectator.
"Hand over the Enhancer and Dragon's son!" Akainu demanded
"I cannot do that, I have decided to protect these two even if it costs me my life!" Jimbei proudly stated
Ivankov caused an explosion by winking at Akainu and my dull eyes watched in sadness as Blackbeard emerged and was able to use Whitebeard's Devil Fruit. He laughed like a maniac as I wished this was all a dream. My body finally regained some form of movement as I tilted my head at Jimbei. He smiled at me briefly before jumping off the edge only to realise the ground was iced. My mind nearly got destroyed when I saw Akainu punch Jimbei and watch his face contort in pain as he dropped Luffy and I to the ground.
"Sorry you two, I just gave you more unnecessary pain" Jimbei apologised.
"You're making this a lot harder Jimbei, just hand the Enhancer over and Dragon's son. I just need to capture that one and kill the other."
The impact was painful as my body hit the ice. I wish I had a sword. I wanted to kill Akainu so badly. My body rose and grabbed Luffy. I was doing this subconsciously, to get Luffy to safety. It was a shock when a sand storm picked us up from Crocodile. I would have to thank him if we made it out alive. Jimbei was sent flying in the sandstorm and I reached my arm out to him despite how painful it was to move. I managed to grab his arm before Buggy came flying in us.
A very familiar submarine emerged and I heard a familiar voice. Law asked Buggy to untrust us with him and Jimbei seemed to contemplate it but I managed to tell him that I trusted Law with my life once before. Law told Jimbei that he could help up escape and that he was a doctor. I didn't realize this but my hat fell off my head during this whole thing before Buggy threw us to Law's crew. Bepo caught Luffy and I while Jean Bart caught Jimbei. The next moments I blacked out, my mind was in tatters. I fell asleep in Bepo's fluffy arms.
"A-Ace... Dad...goodbye"
A/N: I'm sorry, I ended up killing Ace off. I really dont want to mess with the story that much. I wanted to write (M/N)'s trauma from the incident and how he'll deal with it. Good fact, Akainu has permeant injuries from (M/N) that will never heal. That bitch deserves it. Second good fact, Akainu will get his ass whooped at a later date. Thanks for reading!
