As Jimbei and I walked, Luffy woke up. He was more acting himself as he was hungry. We saw Rayleigh but Law was gone. Jimbei seemed astonished as Rayleigh laughed and told us that he left his Vivre Card with Shakki so he could sail to us except his boat sunk halfway through the trip so he swam the rest of the way. Rayleigh noticed me and began ruffling my head and messing with my hair. He handed me my hat. That made me feel slightly better as Hancock came out to greet us with food. She let me have a plate of food which I couldn't eat all of. I felt sad but I pushed through and stomached the whole thing. I had to live on for Whitebeard and Ace.
It turns out that thanks to Shakki, Rayleigh was able to deduce we were here. Luffy ate a piece meat as he turned to Rayleigh. Rayleigh questioned Luffy and I if we were truly ready to head back yet. Were we ready to go back if we couldn't handle what happened on Saobody Archipelago? I agreed with Rayleigh. There began our two week recovery before we left to perform the ritual. I woke up a lot of nights with nightmares but I made sure to comfort Luffy first although I would never admit it. Luffy would cry into my arms but I wouldn't get upset.
The first thing I did was capture a battleship easily. Rayleigh and Jimbei watched as Luffy eagerly wanted to join. He grabbed the two of them before he swung them onto the ship. Jimbei taught me how to sail the ship as we sailed around Marineford one whole round to perform the Rite of Burial. Upon making a whole round, we got off by Luffy swinging us off before Rayleigh told us to go crazy. We evaded the Marines and my eyes that caught the Ox bell earlier allowed Luffy and I to find it easily. There, Luffy and I rang the bell sixteen full times with me counting since Luffy couldn't.
Then, Luffy and I walked to the massive crater left by Whitebeard in the plaza. He fished the flowers out of his pocket while I pulled mine out from my bag and threw them down with Luffy's. I took off my hat as did Luffy and put it to our chests as we sent our silent prayers off to. Our sleeveless shirts showing our arms that had '3D2Y' with the 3D painted with an X over it. After that, we left with Boa and her people helping us escape. I have no idea why but she was now blushy towards me too especially when Luffy hugged me. Maybe she's into guys hugging because I'm sure I didn't talk to her much.
Maybe Boa was into boys love. Then again, I could care less. On the way back, I headed up the deck to where Rayleigh was. He smiled and beckoned me over. He wrapped his arm around me and ruffled my hair before shoving my hat back on my head until it covered my eyes. I pouted at that before pulling it back up. Rayleigh then told me to close my eyes so he could give me something. The time I opened them, there was a sheathed katana in my open hands. I unsheathed the blade. It was beautifully white but it wasn't that sharp.
"I think it's time you learn how to properly wield a blade. You're techniques were made for a dull blade. It's amazing you fought in battle with a wooden blade and before that only with a dull blade. I hope you find a day where you can transition back to a sharp blade for now you'll have something that is still slightly dull."
"I need to find someone who can properly teach me how to use my blade..."
"Well, there's always that man.." Rayleigh offered.
"How would I find him though?" I asked.
"Well, now seems like a good time to improve your Observation Haki."
My eyes widened in disbelief. How on earth would I find a man like that when I didn't know where he was located but I guess now was the time to learn. I used the battleship to make all the sweets I wanted before giving most to Luffy and the Kuja Tribe as well as Rayleigh. I also took some bottles of wine. Jimbei tried the sweets too and ended up stuffing his face while Luffy happily ate. I felt better watching them be happy. I put the rest into a bag for me to take on my trip. Rayleigh showed me to a row boat before handing me another bag.
"(M/N)! Where are you going?!" Luffy screamed
"I'll let you two talk before you leave"
Rayleigh pat me on the shoulder before walking off and leaving me with Luffy alone. Rayleigh felt like another massive parental figure to me. Luffy looked up at me before his lips trembled and he pulled me into a hug. He refused to let go of me as he hid his face in my chest and cried. I managed to get him to change positions to one of sitting as he cried on my lap. With a sad smile, I threaded my hand through Luffy's dark locks before kissing his head. My enhancing was taking place.
"Luffy... I want to get stronger so I can stay by your side. I can't help you become the Pirate King if I stay this weak forever." I said.
"I-I know... I know (M/N) so please take care" Luffy cried
"I will, Captain."
Calling Rayleigh back, he took Luffy away who had stopped crying before he let me set out to sea. I rowed away until they were out of sight. Closing my eyes, I kept calm as I pictured myself in a dangerous situation by being all alone and vulnerable to use my Observation Haki before envisioning the person I wanted to find. I had to find that man and he could only be in the Grand Line so that narrowed it down and it took a few hours of straight concentration but I found him. It took a lot to concentrate and row my way there but after a few days and with some help from my serpent. I pulled it off. My serpent had went back to the calm belt since he now had a family there so he could only help me on the first day but I was grateful. Any time I fell asleep, I would be greeted by nightmares. I would cry and wallow in my misery.
The island was extremely gloomy but I got off after grabbing my bags and tried to dock my boat but it got destroyed easily by these Monkeys. These monkeys were really strong so I guess I had to beat them up first to get in. Breathing in, I unsheathed my blade, my eyes watching my reflection in the sword before a monkey cane up behind me which I defeated in one strike. All the others started charging at me with their weapons. Gritting my teeth, my side hurt and so did my injuries but I had to get stronger for everyone.
A/N: Hello, thanks for reading! Have more fanart I made of Rayleigh and (M/N) with him trying to rock a crop top. This is what I kind of imagine him post time skip. The scars kind of show but he's mostly healed up. Fact, Rayleigh might become a bit of an overprotective father. Fact two, Shakki probably would give (M/N) a place if he wanted to get frisky in peace. An overprotective father and a chill mother that supports her child. I know they haven't been confirmed as husband and wife but they are confirmed romantic partners.
