We all say in the living room, trying to figure out where penny could be. I had half my hair flat ironed, half of it in a poofy mess, pulled up into a ponytail. I was so tired of all this drama and shit,I swear.
"Last time I talked to her,she just said that she was tired and that she was gonna come home early. Now,she's not answering the phone, her car isn't at school, she's not here. Someone had to have taken her." Prod said frantically, nervous. "I swear imma kill whoever did this. I put that on my momm-"
"If you say you put that on momma grave, you gon be six feet under cause of me. That's disrespectful as hell Craig." Diggy said, getting a little worked up.
"Sorry man."
Silence. "We'll have Yall tried driving around town? Seeing if you seen her car?" I asked, trying to help.
"Yes,I already did. Twice. Nowhere to be found."
I sigh, suddenly getting a migraine. Chres, sitting beside me,touched my shoulder to comfort me a little, but I couldn't help the tears that escaped my face. Marquan walked in a few minutes later, sitting beside me. He pulled me into a hug.
"I'm just so tired of this!" I cried. "I know. Shh. I know." He said.
Now I know how they felt when I was kidnapped. Helpless. We can't do anything about it,because Mr. Johnson's enemies are very smart, and it's going to be highly difficult to find her.
"You think she's at the mansion? Where I came from?" I asked quietly, and Jacob glanced at me. He thought for a second, then shook his head. "Nah. Too easy. They probably have her hidden somewhere."
"He's right." Ray said.
"How about we just do this the legal way and take this to the police?" Ray said, looking at us.
"Are you stupid? What are they gonna do? It'll take them months just to get the back up story on the enemy. We already know about them, and what they're capable of. I say we take matters into our own hands." Amaya said, pulling her wild curls back into a ponytail.
"I agree. We need to deal with this ourselves." I said.
"But the question is,how?" Chres asked.
"Well we sure as hell ain't gon get anywhere sitting around here. I say tomorrow morning we start investigating. We'll need weapons, all of the enemies information, ways in,ways out,and so much more." Peyton said.
"You're so sexy when you're talking criminal." Ray chimed in,and we all gave him a "nigga tf" look.
"What? She is!" He said, laughing. I sighed, getting up and going to my room. "Well we need plenty of rest. I'll see Yall in the morning. Goodnight. I finished my hair, and laid down beside marquan in my bed, getting prepared for the next day.......
*Penny*
My stomach growled again, but I refused to speak. I refused to ask this disgrace for food. He turned around at me,chuckling. "I knew you'd be a tough one. How's about I make a deal with you? I untie you for two whole hours, but only if you agree to eat something! Boss would kill me if I let you die like this." I stared blankly at him like I wasn't going to respond. He sighed, staring at me unsurely. He walked over to me,untying me slowly, until nothing was on me. I stayed in my position, and he placed a subway sandwich on my lap, along with a drink.
"Eat up,sweets." I looked down at the food blankly, then watched him sit in front of the tv once again, his attention all on it. I took this time to eat the sandwich as quickly as I could. It was very delicious, best sandwich I'd ever had. Or it could've been because I haven't eaten in a whole day or two. I don't even know how long it's been. Once I finished the sandwich, and the drink,I looked up, happy that I was finally full. I met his gaze and widened my eyes,a bit embarrassed.
"Did your creep ass watch me eat?" I asked, and he chuckled.
"You're a funny one. And yes,I watched you eat. Maybe like you hadn't eaten in a hundred years." He raised his eyebrow.
I raised mine,challenging him.
"Can I shower now? I hate this." I say.
"Of course you can. The shower is right there. He said, pointing behind me. There was a shower rod hanging from the ceiling, and a drain built in the floor. The shower was out in the open of course.
"Oh hell no." I said, turning back to him. "Where's a curtain at least?" I ask.
"You don't get one. I told you,I have to watch you at all times."
"And who's to say you won't watch me shower? Imean, you're already a creep in my eyes. Now I can't even shower without you watching me."
"Oh don't be so hostile about it." He said. He stood up,grabbing something, then he handed it to me. A long gown, towels, and soap.
"You're kidding." I said,looking up at him.
"I'm not."
I roll my eyes, wishing there was some way I could escape. Some clue. A window. Anything.
"Wouldn't it be easier to kill me?" I asked.
"Where's the fun in that?"
I eyes him. "Don't watch me shower."
"And just why should I listen to you?" He raises an eyebrow and for a moment I observe how rather handsome he is. He was built, seemingly mixed with something, and his smirk was sexy as hell. He had a very unbearable jawline, and I just wanted to jump all over him, honestly. But he was the enemy. No way I let him get to me.
"I might kill you if you don't." I said seriously.
He laughed loudly, and I eyed him blankly. "Try me."I stood under the shower rod, feeling his eyes on me as I showered slowly, uncomfortable in his gaze.
"You could make it less creepy, you know." I said loud enough for him to hear.
"No,I'm kind of liking the view." He said, making me blush without wanting to. I cursed myself and rushed through the rest of my shower, then I quickly dried off and slipped on the gown. I walked back over to my chair, then I reached down and broke all four wooden legs off of it,one by one.
"I'm not sleeping on this anymore." I announce, then stood with a hand on my hip.
"Then where might you sleep?"
I plopped on the bed. "Here,of course. I deserve a little more respect. " He shifted in his chair.
"Then where would I sleep?"
"Be a gentleman. Find a substitute from now on. But this right here" I motioned to the whole bed "it's mine now."
I laid down on it,smirking that he wasn't arguing about my decision either. Not like I was gonna let him. I run shit. He might not know it yet,but he's not gonna get much control over me. Not until I'm dead.
