3rd Person POV

Y/n's class was nearing its end, so Jennie patiently waited for her outside on the benches. Growing bored, Jennie decided to play a few games on her phone. Suddenly, she heard Y/n's voice and smiled softly, knowing it belonged to her.

"Cornini!" Y/n happily shouted, making her way toward Jennie. However, Jennie furrowed her eyebrows as Chaeyoung stopped Y/n from approaching her.

"What the hell are you doing with her?" Chaeyoung asked Y/n, gripping her wrist tightly. Jennie walked over to them and glared at Chaeyoung.

"Sorry, can she go now? I don't want people ruining my date," Jennie said, annoyed.

Chaeyoung scoffed. "So you're going on a date with the person that almost harassed you?!" Chaeyoung raised her voice, attracting some attention from the surrounding people.

"Chaeng, let's talk later, not now," Y/n weakly pleaded with Chaeyoung. However, Chaeyoung tightened her grip on Y/n's wrist, causing her to wince in pain. Jennie quickly noticed and pushed Chaeyoung away.

"Park Chaeyoung, don't you dare hurt her!" Jennie shouted, gathering even more attention. She glared at the onlookers, causing them to mind their own business and not interfere with the conflict.

"She's my best friend, and I know what's right for her!" Chaeyoung yelled back, but Y/n told Jennie not to fight back and soothed her to calm her down.

"Chaeng, please stop this," Y/n pleaded with Chaeyoung to stop shouting, but Chaeyoung refused to listen.

"Y/n, let's go to my house and talk," Chaeyoung said calmly, but Y/n declined. Chaeyoung looked at Jennie, and Jennie smirked at her, further intensifying Chaeyoung's dislike for Jennie.

Jennie grabbed Y/n's hand and whispered, "Run." The two of them quickly ran out of the school, leaving Chaeyoung seething with anger and alone in the halls. Jennie couldn't help but laugh while running and holding Y/n's hand, and Y/n simply smiled at what Jennie did to escape the awkward atmosphere. They continued running until they reached Jennie's car. Jennie opened the door for Y/n, and a blush appeared on her cheeks.

Meanwhile, Chaeyoung was furious that Y/n had chosen Jennie over her. However, she couldn't shake the feeling that someone had stabbed her heart. Suddenly, Chanyeol, Chaeyoung's boyfriend, wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I came here as fast as I could. What happened?" Chanyeol asked, looking concerned. Chaeyoung simply shrugged her shoulders and left her bewildered boyfriend behind in the halls.

Jennie POV

I dropped Y/n off at her house to change clothes before our date. The time was now 7:40, and our date was scheduled for 8:00. I checked myself in the mirror one last time, making sure everything was in place.

...

This is it. I just have to knock on the door. I knocked twice, and Jin Oppa was the one who opened it.

"Jennie, come inside. She's still upstairs. I'll call her," Oppa said, gesturing for me to come in. I took a seat on one of their sofas. Soon, a goddess-like figure came rushing down the stairs in my direction. Oh God, she looked adorably pretty. I immediately stood up and gave her my best smile.

"Beautiful flowers for one beautiful girl," I said, handing her the flowers I had brought earlier on my way home.

"Thank you, Ms. Kim," Y/n said, accepting the flowers and bringing them to her blushing face. Damn, she's adorable.

"You look beautiful tonight," I said softly, admiration evident in my voice. Well, she always looks beautiful, but she's particularly stunning tonight.

"You don't look too bad yourself, Nini," she replied with a giggle. It was cute that she even called me Nini. So adorable.

"Let's go, mademoiselle," I said, offering my hand. She accepted, and we held hands, gazing at each other. However, our moment was interrupted by her brother.

"Gosh, just go, you lovebirds. Spare a thought for the only single person here," he said, and we both laughed before heading out. I opened the car door for her, playing the role of a gentlewoman. It's quite fun.

"Such a gentlewoman," Y/n murmured cutely.

"Well, thank you. Hahaha, I heard that, you know," I teased her, pinching her red cheeks.

"Then I take that back. You're not a gentlewoman; you're a Cornini," she said, averting her eyes from me and pouting.

"Princess, don't pout. I'll buy you a frappé," I said calmly, and she turned her head to me, grinning widely.

After a few minutes of driving and talking, we finally arrived at the restaurant. I had been to this place several times before, and it was wonderful. The food tasted amazing as well. Y/n seemed shy as we entered the restaurant, and she even whined a bit because I had chosen a luxurious restaurant for our date.

"Reservation for Jennie Kim," I formally stated while still holding Y/n's small hands.

"This way, Miss," the waiter said, leading us to our table. We both thanked him.

"Jennie, you could've taken me to a normal restaurant," Y/n said, a blush appearing on her cheeks, which was incredibly cute.

"I chose this place because it's special to me, and you're the first girl I've brought here," I replied truthfully, gently caressing her hands. But our moment was interrupted when the waiter cleared her throat.

"Good evening, ladies. I'm Jaden, and I'll be your waiter for tonight," Jaden said, but his eyes were filled with lust as he looked at my date. That made my blood boil. I cleared my throat, and he finally noticed me, taking my order.

"I'll just have the Bouillabaisse," I said coldly, deliberately avoiding eye contact with him.

"What about you, pretty Miss?" he said to Y/n, and my eye twitched in irritation.

Y/n politely ordered the Parmesan Risotto with Roasted Shrimp, but then the waiter crossed a line by asking if she was single. It made Y/n feel uncomfortable, and it sparked intense anger within me.

"Excuse me, but could you refrain from flirting with someone who is already taken?"
