Chapter 63

Jennie's POV

I feel guilty for not agreeing to go to the carnival with my girls. I know y/n might get suspicious, but it's worth it. I've been planning to propose to her next week at my beach house, which I bought recently.

Ruby is also aware of my plan, but I've told her to keep it a secret so we can both surprise Mommy. She's playing along with me, haha.

After getting out of the shower, I heard my phone buzzing. I picked it up and saw a bunch of messages from an unknown number. It's Momo, my childhood friend who is helping me decorate the venue. I'll buy the ring today. I was supposed to meet her at 8, but it's already 8:30, and I don't really care, haha.

I went downstairs and saw my girlfriend and my daughter playing with Legos.

"Hey, baby, I gotta go now." I approached her and placed a kiss on her lips, but she didn't kiss me back. Oh god, it's starting.

Ruby came running to me and kissed my cheeks, then she winked, causing me to laugh.

"Take care of Mommy, okay?" Ruby nodded, and I glanced at y/n, who didn't spare me a single glance.

Just wait a little longer, baby. You might think I'm cheating, but I'm not. I love you.

"Bye, love you!" I shouted, but I only heard Ruby's reply, and y/n didn't respond. Wahh, I'm in trouble.

I drove to the jewelry shop, fashionably late as ever, hehe. When I arrived, I saw Momo waiting outside the store with her arms crossed. I parked my car and got out, smiling in Momo's direction.

"You bitch, I've been waiting here for an hour!" she said, fuming, while I just laughed, causing her to get even more mad and slap my back. Ouch, that hurts. I rubbed my back, and we headed inside the shop.

"I need something unique, Jokbal, you know, something beautiful," I said seriously. Momo hummed in response, and we began to search for something that would suit my girl.

"Excuse me, miss, do you need any help?" an employee asked me, and I simply nodded in response and followed her.

"I need something beautiful and unique," I told the employee. Momo stood beside me, observing.

"Do you know what size his finger is, miss?" What the hell? His? Momo snorted beside me, and I gave her a glare.

"It's actually a she, and yes, I know her size," I replied. The employee apologized several times, and I reassured her that it's alright, people make mistakes. The employee said we would wait there because she had the perfect ring for my girlfriend.

"I think she mistook you for my mistress," I said, causing Momo to burst into laughter, attracting strange looks from people around us.

"That's hilarious. I would rather die than date your rude ass," she said through her laughter, causing me to join in. We stopped laughing when someone cleared their throat.

"I've got what you need, miss," the employee said, showing us the ring.

It's perfect, beautiful, just like y/n.

I bought the ring, Momo and I parted ways, and then I went home, feeling tired. As I opened the door, I saw my girlfriend sleeping on the couch.

Was she waiting for me? My heart melted, and I went to her, kissing her forehead.

I just hope she'll say yes.
