Jennie's POV

"Y... Y/n," I stammered as soon as I saw her face. She had changed, her appearance had changed. She had become even more beautiful in these past years... I snapped out of my thoughts when Ruby came running towards me.

"Jennie, say hi to my mommy," Ruby said. Mommy? Was she married? Had she already moved on?

"Jennie," our eyes met for a moment, and my name sounded so perfect when she said it.

"Can we talk... without Ruby?" I stared at her for a moment and nodded in response. She knelt down in front of Ruby and said something that I didn't hear.

"Can you wait? Oppa will pick up Ruby," she asked. I just smiled. After all these years, she was still the beautiful girl I loved.

"Of course, take your time," I said and waited for Jin Oppa. 'I miss you.' Those were the words I wanted to say right now.

"Y/n/n," Jin Oppa shouted, running towards us. His eyes widened when he saw me. Oppa came towards me and pulled me into a hug.

"Hey, I missed you!" he said. I let out a laugh and patted his back.

"I missed you too, Oppa," I replied, and we both pulled away. He went towards Ruby, ruffled her hair, and left.

"Shall we?" I asked, causing y/n to stare into my eyes for a moment. Please keep looking at me like that...

"Yeah..." The both of us walked to the nearest cafe to talk. I wanted to hear her explanation. I ordered us coffee and sat down. It was awkward at first, but she suddenly spoke to break the silence.

"I... I'm sorry for leaving like that," she said, catching me off guard. I stopped sipping my coffee and felt the urge to hold her hand whenever she's like this. I gathered all my courage and held her hand tightly, causing her eyes to widen as she looked at me.

"Explain everything. I need to know everything, y/n," I said. I was on the verge of tearing up right now, remembering the day she disappeared without a word.

"Mom got accepted for her job in the States, and she didn't want to leave us two behind, so she brought us with her..." There was a pause, but she took a deep breath and continued.

"I... I tried coming to your house and saying goodbye, but Amelia said that you didn't want any visitors. Even when I begged her to let me see you, it was no use," she explained. So it was my fault after all this time? I felt so dumb. I shouldn't have isolated myself from everyone at that time.

My grip on her hand tightened. I kissed her hand and let my tears fall. "I'm sorry," I apologized several times and broke down in front of her.

"I shouldn't have done that in the first place. I'm so stupid," my voice cracked. She softly caressed my hands and helped me relax through her touch.

"Jennie, don't say that. You're not stupid," she soothed me. I looked up and met her beautiful y/e/c eyes, which bore into mine. I suddenly remembered Ruby.

"A-Are you married?" I stammered and hung my head low.

"What? No," she said and laughed. She wasn't? Wow.

"Then whose daughter is Ruby?" I asked, confused, and hung my head low.

"She's ours," Y/n replied, clearing her throat and staring at me.
