Namjoon got held up by Hoseok and Taehyung. Actually, he held himself up but it was easier to blame them. He was mad at himself for making Jin wait so long but he wanted to look as perfect as possible for him. After the reassuring hug from Hoseok, he rushed to the cafe and found Jin already seated and patiently waiting for him. He still couldn't believe that he wasn't in a dream. Namjoon caught a glimpse of him- He wore a pink hoodie that complemented his hair well. Even if he tried, he couldn't look any less handsome than he really is.
Namjoon walked over to the table.
"Hi, Seokjin-ssi. I'm really sorry I'm late."
Jin looked back at him for a few moments and pouted. "Hey! Call me Jin Hyung!"
Namjoon blushed very hard but managed to whisper, "Jin Hyung."
Jin didn't think it would hit him that hard. He regretted suggesting that because he barely managed to get the next words out. His ears turned pink and he stuttered, "W-Well, that's okay. I-I wasn't waiting that long anyway." He tried not to look at the other's face.
Namjoon wasn't any better either. He just stood there blushing. After a few awkward moments, Jin motioned him to the chair in front of him. Namjoon slowly pulled out the chair but he still refused to meet the elder's eyes.
"So, um. What would you like to order?" Jin finally asked.
Namjoon's lips slowly parted and said, "Hot chocolate with marshmallows."
A warm smile spread over Jin's face as he ordered two hot chocolates. He then looked back at Namjoon, cocked his head to one side and raised his eyebrows. "Will you look at me now?"
Namjoon winced. He didn't want to but he knew he had to. After reassuring himself that it's going to be okay, he slowly and reluctantly lifted his head and met Jin's eyes. Namjoon didn't realize he was stuck in a daze before Jin snapped him out of it.
"See something you like?" Jin smirked.
Namjoon's eyes widened and darted down as he turned redder than before. Jin regretted saying that, so he sat up and with a voice of concern asked, "Hey, are you okay?"
Namjoon slowly nodded. Jin then asked him, "Do you wanna hear a joke?"
Namjoon looked puzzled. He shot up his eyebrows in confusion.
"Do you know why I don't trust stairs?"
Namjoon still looked back at him, dumbfounded.
"They're always up to something." He fell back and put a hand over his mouth. His eyes crinkled as he laughed heartily at his own joke.
A wide smile crept over Namjoon's face. Even though the joke wasn't that good, his silliness seemed to loosen him up. Jin reached out and poked his dimples.
"Sorry, I've been wanting to do that." Jin smiled.
Namjoon let a long breath he had been holding for so long. He looked so much more relaxed as he sank back in his chair. Jin warmly smiled and sank back in his chair too.
When their order came, Jin played with his straw and looked at Namjoon. With a hint of curiousness in his voice, he asked, "This is your sixth school, how?"
Namjoon let out a sigh. "Actually, it's a long story."
Jin sat up, rested his chin on his hand and looked at Namjoon with wide eyes. Namjoon let out a laugh. He took a large sip of his drink and started, "Well my parents..."
Namjoon had literally told his whole life to Jin. He sat there listening to all of his stories, not even showing a tinge of boredom. Namjoon never thought he could talk so comfortably, especially with Jin and he had almost forgotten that he had been chatting non-stop. He stopped in between and ran his fingers through his hair. He sheepishly smiled,
