Jimin had insisted Hoseok to stay behind and do extra practice, buying some time for preparations to take place back at home and for his dance mates to reach the venue without Hoseok's knowledge.

Hoseok and Jimin were dancing and laughing to various choreographies before they finally huffed and sat down on the floor, hugging their knees.

Hoseok looked at Jimin and smiled. "Minnie?"

Jimin wiped his brow. He noticed Hoseok's weird, triumphant smile. He curiously asked, "What?"

"Should I be expecting something back at home?"

Jimin froze. Was it that obvious? Was he that transparent? Though he was very confused, he quickly got a hold of himself and tried not to show any kind of suspicion, "Huh?"

Seeing Jimin's believable expression, now Hoseok looked puzzled. He shook his head, "No, no. Nevermind."

Jimin nodded but mentally, he let out a huge sigh of relief. If he accidentally let the cat out of the bag, Yoongi and Jin would probably never forgive him. And he definitely didn't want that.

Hoseok sceptically looked at him, with his one brow raised, for a while but Jimin, however hard he tried, couldn't resist himself and broke out laughing.

"Please don't look at me like that!"

Hoseok got up. He slowly moved closer to Jimin and carefully studied his face. "Are you hiding something from me, Park Jimin?"

Jimin's whole body got paralysed for a second when he realized how close Hoseok was to his face. He immediately took a step back. "No?"

Hoseok took a step closer, "Was that a question, Park Jimin?"

Jimin let out a fake laugh, "Of course, not!"

Hoseok narrowed his eyes and studied his face again. But he gave up and shrugged. "I know you'll tell me eventually."

Jimin let out a sigh of relief. For a few moments, he saw his whole life flash before his eyes. He pulled out his phone as soon as Hoseok turned his back and texted Jin. He got a reply back from Jin, almost immediately.

Thankfully, Hoseok was looking down at his phone too or else he would've seen Jimin nodding to himself.

Jimin put his phone back in his pocket. Hoseok looked up from his phone and tried to decipher Jimin's face, but this time Jimin was able to keep a non-suspicious facial expression.

Hoseok squinted, "You know what? Let's go home."

Jimin was panicking inside, but he managed to not show it outside. He tilted his head and asked, "Why?"

Hoseok shrugged, "It's getting pretty late and I'm hungry..." He whispered to himself, "And I'm dying of curiosity."

Jimin casually got up and followed Hoseok out the door, but when he escaped his sight, he swiftly took out his phone and texted Jin to warn him in advance.

Hoping that everything was going according to plan, he pressed send and ran behind Hoseok. He walked anxiously, fidgeting his fingers.

After a while, Hoseok realized that he was almost home and Jimin was still with him. He turned to look at him and raised an eyebrow, "Don't you want to go home?"

Jimin had already prepared an excuse, "Taehyung invited me for a sleepover."

Hoseok clutched his chest and pretended to be deeply offended, "Betraying me on my birthday? H-How could you?"

Jimin laughed, "Relax, you and Namjoon are invited too. Besides, it is your birthday. You're the most important person today."

Hoseok's lips parted to an 'o'. "Did you just-"
