Past Trickery...

The nogitsune threw her on top of the game board and pinned her down. Allison started to laugh, confusing the dark spirit. On the outside, Allison started laughing as well. It was the most emotion they've seen from her in the last five minutes.

"Did that ever happen to me?" Stiles questioned.

"Not exactly."

"I'm gonna go with a no."

"Guys..." Lydia said quietly, feeling scared. "GUYS!" She shouted, grabbing their attention.

"What's wrong?" Tara questioned, walking up to her friend's mom.

"It's Allison." She answered, able to hear her daughter's struggle. The fight between Ally and Void was still going on and she was still laughing, as it started to choke her.

"You don't get it, do you?" Allison asked, even though the nogitsune was slowly crushing her vocal cords. It loosened its grip and grabbed the hem of her shirt, pulling her face towards its own. During the process, the teen let out a few coughs, gaining back the oxygen she had just lost.

"I'm not just like my dad..." she spoke softly. She was so close to the fox that her sentence spoke through her physical body. Her friends and family heard her speak and they knew right there, Allison was fighting her way back to them.

"I'm like my mom too..." the girl said with a smirk on her face. The nogitsune tilted its head to the side, not understanding what she was trying to imply.

"Run." Lydia quickly spoke. She knew exactly what her daughter meant. The group didn't think twice before following Lydia. As if on cue, Allison screamed. Void flew back from the impact, landing outside of the Nemeton.

Allison took this as an opportunity to beat the game. She threw the bowl of the nogitsune's pieces outside of the Nemeton, it couldn't play without them and Allison added a ton of her own to the board. She had won the game. She outfoxed the fox. On the outside, the girl's scream blew up the remaining crushed cars and the oni disappeared.

The wind blew forwards and her hair whipped to the front, as well as pieces of glass from car windows and windshields. Her friends and family stood behind some trees, holding onto their ears. When the scream stopped, a thud was heard and Allison laid on the road unconscious.

"Allison! Guys help me grab her!" Lydia yelled running over. Everyone helped put her body into one of the cars and Stiles stayed behind, having a job to do. The others raced back to the house and laid her down on the couch.

"Is she breathing?" Travis asked, looking at his friends. Noah immediately bent down to check. He nodded his head yes and Tara slapped Travis upside the head.

"Don't do that!" She yelled. Malia and Scott were getting the teen ice because she was starting to burn up. Stiles shot through the door a few minutes later and saw that Allison still didn't wake up.

"She looks like she needs a doctor!" Malia said to the group.

"They won't be able to help her!" Nick butted in.

"They won't, but Jack can! Put her in the car and start driving to the hospital!" Tara shouted. It was clear that she was now taking the lead and no one was going to argue about that. Stiles cradled his daughter and sat in the back seat of Lydia's car with Scott. Allison was put on top of both of their laps and Stiles held her head. Malia was in the front seat, while Lydia drove and the kids took a separate car.

"Guys her heartbeat is getting faster... and louder!" Scott freaked. Lydia stepped on the gas and Malia handed Stiles a wet rag to put over her forehead.

"Is it working?!"

"No! Are we almost there?" Scott asked.

"We're pulling up!" Malia shouted. They took her out of the car and it was pouring rain. Jack came running outside the second he saw them.

"Tara, Noah, you know where to take her. Go now!" He yelled and the teens quickly complied. Travis and Dwyer followed behind, giving Jack a minute alone to talk to the parents.

"Tell me everything! The last time I spoke to Allison, she told me she was recognizing voices. They wanted to kill the nogitsune and I had to tell them that the spirit cannot be killed, but Void can. The only problem is that you can't outfox a fox." The doctor spoke, as they went in through the back entrance. The adults had no idea how any of them knew Jack, but this wasn't the time for those types of questions.

"She found out the voices were mine and Lydia's. Void took control over my body when I was a little older than she is now." Stiles explained.

"Wait... it possessed you?" Jack questioned, stopping.

"Yeah, why? What does that mean?"

"You were lucky enough to not become fully corrupted by the spirit, instead you and your pack were able to take it out and trap it. When you do that, some of the spirit still lingers. It would mix with your DNA."

"What are you saying?" Scott asked.

"I'm saying that even though you got rid of Void. A small piece of the fox was left behind. Stiles, did anything weird happen after that?"

"Like what?"

"Like if a door randomly locked and then unlocked on its own?" Jack questioned.

"Stiles, remember when we were fighting? In the hospital... the door locked by itself and then when we made up, it opened." Malia spoke.

"What about when you were with Liam! You guys were spying on Theo and the Jeep wouldn't start until you told me how you felt." Scott said.

"So those were side effects?" Stiles asked.

"Yes. That would have kept happening, but you passed the DNA forward to Allison. I'm sure you've already noticed how clever the girl can be. You can't trick a trickster, but Allison can. That small amount of fox DNA you gave her, is the only reason she's able to play the game without being in a full trance. She's the only one that can beat this." Jack stated as they walked into the room.
