Should've Known...

"I need to talk to my dad," Allison told the boy, walking fast out of the library.

"Why not your mom?" Travis questioned.

"I will later, but she's teaching a class right now." The girl said, walking down the hallway.

"And your dad is trying to figure out how someone drowned in the woods." The blonde stated, following behind.

"He has to know about my mom. I mean, he gave me the Bestiary, I think my dad knows a lot more than he's letting on." Allison said, getting into her truck. Travis got in next to her.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm coming with." He stated obviously.

"But, you're gonna miss practice."

"I don't care, it's one practice and we're gonna miss the last three periods of the day. I'm alright with that, so let's go." Allison sighed but smiled, grateful for her friend. They drove in silence for a while, until Travis started talking about the Hudson's.

They pulled into the station and walked in, heading straight for the sheriff's office, ignoring everyone who tried to stop them. Stiles looked up at the two teens who completely ignored his presence, deep in conversation.

"Oh my God, Travis, you're being paranoid!"

"I don't think that's a bad quality. After everything we've found out, you're gonna tell me that the two new kids just coincidentally show up, when there's a body and automatically have Noah and Tara drooling all over them?!"

"I'm not saying you're right about this, but why wouldn't they affect you? You're more of an easy target, no offense." Allison questioned.

"I don't know, maybe they can only affect one person at a time. Maybe killing the supernatural, gives them more time or more power. I'm telling you, they're evil!" Travis yelled. They both forgot Stiles was in the room until he spoke up.

"The supernatural?" Both of the kids froze and Sal continued to speak, knowing she could confuse herself out of any situation.

"What about the supernatural?" Allison asked.

"Travis said the supernatural." The sheriff defended.

"I said?" The blonde wondered.

"Yes."

"I said yes... to what?" Travis questioned. Allison had her hand covering her mouth, trying her best not to laugh. The girl snorted, quickly covering it up with a cough.

"What? No, I mean you said the supernatural!" Stiles said, getting back on the subject.

"You said the supernatural?... wow I must have missed that," Allison told her dad, who was now clearly confused.

"Um, I don't know... what just happened, but why are you guys here? You should be in school." The adult told the two kids.

"I know but you gave me the Bestiary, which means you know about Mom," Allison stated. Stiles started to play with his fingers and scratched the back of his neck, it was an old habit he never seemed to break.

"What do you-" He was cut off by his daughter.

"She's a banshee. I figured it out at the school. I found where you guys wrote your initials and when I touched it, I heard her scream my name, except it wasn't for me it was for someone else. The A.A, Allison Argent. I know she died trying to fight the nogitsune. I know I'm named after her and I'm very sorry she's gone, but I need your help. Mom was there when Allison died. That means, she knew who the nogitsune used to possess. I keep hearing it say divine move, maybe that mea-" Now it was Stiles' turn to cut her off.

"Divine move?" He questioned. Allison's face lost all color and she couldn't say anything. She completely froze. Her dad said the same two words she'd been hearing in her head and it sounded identical. Travis waved his hand in front of her face, trying to bring her back, but she didn't budge. Allison's eyes started to water, as she swallowed a lump in her throat and turned to Travis.

"I um, I know who the other voice is, it wanted me to know." She croaked out.

"What do you mean?" Stiles asked, stepping close to his daughter, she backed up slightly, so her back was pressed against Travis's chest.

"Who's the voice?" The blonde asked. Allison looked up from the floor, turning around to face Travis. A few tears escaped her eyes and then she looked at the sheriff.

"My dad." She muttered and turned around, grabbing Travis' hand to lead him out of the station. They got into the truck and checked their phone to see a lot of missed calls and messages, specifically from Noah and Tara. They both sighed and the boy offered to drive, knowing Allison was not in the right state of mind.

"Are you okay?" He asked, already knowing the answer.

"They've been lying to me my whole life. I don't know what to think or do, just take me anywhere but home." She told Travis, who started the ignition. Stiles ran out of the precinct, catching up to the two.

"Allison, wait!" He shouted through the truck's window.

"I know you're a banshee too. Look, we wanted to protect you! Remember, we were gonna have a talk tonight. It was to tell you what happened to us, while we were your age. I promise it'll all make sense!"

"Know what makes sense? The fact that Void calls me Stiles. The fact that it pretended to be you in a nightmare, while mom was stuck screaming, with her jaw unhinged! The nogitsune only wants me... to get back at you! It wanted me to know who the voices belonged to. But know what doesn't make sense to me.... that while I thought I was losing my mind, you didn't tell me what you already knew. That while my ears were bleeding, you acted like you didn't know what was going on. Not to mention, I can't find the triskelion anywhere! I bet you took it, which means you were in my room and saw exactly what I was going through! You and mom said nothing to me... NOTHING!" She screamed at her dad. Stiles was silent, he knew she was right. At this point, a few tears escaped him as well.

"I'm, I'm sorry." He stuttered. Allison didn't answer him. She just rolled up her window, tapping Travis to leave.
