Just Keep Pushing...
The next day Allison got ready for school and applied as much makeup as she needed. She was getting weaker and every step she took brought her pain. She walked down the stairs and was met with Theo.
"I thought you were staying with Scott?" The girl questioned.
"Oh no. Stiles refuses to let me be near Scott on my own since..."
"You tried everything you could to kill him and ruin his pack?"
"That would be it," Theo stated.
"For what it's worth, you pulled through in the end. Whether you want to admit it or not... you care about them." Allison spoke, walking away from him.
"Hey, wait!" He called out. Stiles walked down the stairs slowly to hear what was going on. Theo grabbed Allison's shoulder and immediately fell to his knees. He screamed out as he absorbed her pain and felt his breathing unsteady.
"I'm sorry! I should've told you not to touch me." The brunette spoke, kneeling before him.
"How are you even walking?! Allison that's not even pain, that's death." He said pausing. "You're dying aren't you?" The girl looked down and took a deep breath.
"If I don't win this third game? Yea, but I don't lose."
"You have to tell Stiles."
"No! I don't need my dad feeling guilty about something that's not even his fault. Scott's the only other person that knows, and that's because he did the same thing you did." Allison explained, not knowing Tara had also felt her pain.
"You're right. I do care about the pack, which means... I care about you. Soon enough, you won't be able to tell when you're in your head or not. It'll be like two worlds collided. Your body will grow immensely weak and you'll have zero control. It's all mind games. You have to think you're strong, you have to pretend that you've never felt more alive." Theo brought up.
"I would say I'm sorry for punching you, but I'm not. Although, I will say... thank you." The adult nodded his head and walked away, while Allison left for school. Stiles sat on the stairs, trying to process everything that was said between the two and Travis walked up to the girl in a frantic mood.
"Woah Odekah, what's wrong?"
"Noah's back, but Tara's not."
"Shit. Does Scott know?" The brunette asked.
"Honestly, I don't think so." He answered. The teens ran down a few halls and spotted Dwyer, Alexa, and Katelynn. Nick saw the two running and left the other girls to catch up with them. They got to Scott's classroom, completely out of breath and Allison was so weak, she couldn't feel her legs. She started to fall, but Travis quickly grabbed her, holding her up.
"Guys? What ar-" Scott started.
"Noah's back." Travis interrupted.
"Wait, he's back?" Dwyer and the alpha questioned in sync.
"Yea."
"What about Tara?" Nick asked.
"She's still missing," Sal spoke, steadying her balance.
"Noah's been gone for days, why come back now?" The alpha wondered.
"The lacrosse game," Travis said, out of realization.
"Scott, you have to cancel the game!"
"That's the problem. I can't! The school made up a new policy a few years ago. If the coach is going to cancel a game, they need to notify the other school three days prior."
"Okay, we can still work with that. I'll be on the field and so will Travis. We can easily watch Noah." Dwyer stated.
"I'll be there too, on the bleachers, but I'll still be there," Sal said smiling.
"I can bench Noah. Our job is to keep as many people as safe as possible." The bell rang throughout the school, making every teenager disperse. When the class began, Noah took an unusual seat. He didn't speak or even look in the general direction of Allison.
"Hey," Alexa spoke, moving her seat next to the Stilinski girl.
"Hey, Reed." Allison sighed.
"You going to the game tonight? Katelynn and I could pick you up?" She suggested.
"Oh, yea that'd be great, thanks!"
"What's happening?" The girl asked.
"What do you mean?" Allison questioned back.
"Well, I know about the supernatural and I know very little about what's going on with you, but I can tell there's something wrong," Alexa answered.
"Something? HA, try everything!"
"What can I do?"
"You wanna help?" Sal questioned.
"Of course!"
"Fine. During lunch, meet me here. We'll do our best to explain what's happening." Alexa smiled brightly as the class continued. During the rest of the day, Allison kept hazing in and out of her mind. Theo was right. She felt like her burning subconscious was standing in the middle of the school hallway.
The brunette was having a hard time deciphering what was reality and the teen's lunch period came quicker than she thought. Dwyer, Travis, and now Alexa, all joined Scott in his classroom.
"Stilinski, you alright?" Nick questioned. Everyone turned their head to look at the banshee. Her arms were shaking, she was tapping her foot on the ground, and she had her eyes tightly shut. For a split second, the oni appeared. When she opened her eyes, they vanished.
"Yea, I'm just having a little trouble figuring out what's real and what's happening in my head. Can someone else please explain to Reed what's going on?" She asked. Scott nodded his head and told her everything. The next few classes went by and Allison caught up to Alexa.
"Hey! Sorry I almost forgot... but I have detention, so I'll just meet you out on the bleachers. After Mr. Dena lets me go, I'll probably just watch the boys practice."
"Oh, okay! Good luck." The girl responded.
