Cracked Confidence...

When they arrived at the school the four teenagers separated. Travis stayed behind and watched Noah enter his first-period class with Allison. Luckily Scott was standing right outside of his room.

"Scott... I mean Mr. McCall!" Travis called out, walking over.

"What happened? You weren't there this morning." Scott asked the blonde.

"Look, that's a long story..." the bell rang signaling that class has started. Scott tried walking away, but Travis pulled his shirt back.

"Woah, Travis you're late!" The teacher scolded.

"Look I don't care! Something's wrong with Allison and Noah." The blonde spitted out. Scott tilted his head to the side and a teacher yelled at Travis, making him run off to class. Being late costed the blonde boy detention for the afternoon.

The alpha started his lesson, keeping an eye on the two kids. He thought Allison looked okay, not as bad as Stiles was, although he didn't know she was wearing makeup. Scott didn't notice anything weird about Noah and figured he was fine. The bell rang and everybody got up and left, including Noah.

Allison stayed a few more seconds trying to comprehend that the class was over. The girl felt very delayed. Every time she moved she wanted to collapse. Scott noticed her gripping the sides of her desk to stand up.

"Allison, are you okay?" The alpha asked.

"Yea, Of course!" She said overly cheery.

"Compared to Stiles, you look great. I'm proud of you, kid." Scott said sweetly.

"Thanks, Scott." She started walking towards her locker before her second-period class started. She looked at herself through the mirror and whispered,

"The power of makeup." She didn't know it, but Scott was using his hearing and couldn't believe what she had said. He made his way over to her and shut her locker.

"You're lying to me," Scott stated.

"I'm fine. Look I have to get to class." Allison spoke, trying to walk away.

"Wait! I heard what you said. Without the makeup, how bad is it?" She turned around, her eyes not wanting to meet the alpha's gaze.

"It's not that bad. I just don't want to be late, Mr. Dena would kill me." Just as she said that... the bell rang. She sighed and started walking away. Scott felt bad that he made Allison late and decided to follow her to class, that way she wouldn't get any added detentions. He walked a little behind and Ally didn't know he was there.

They turned a hallway and the brunette gripped onto the wall. Her legs started to tremble as she began to sweat. She hurried into the nearest bathroom and put cold water on her face. Anything to stop her skin from burning. It ended up taking off her makeup and she grunted loudly.

"Fuck!" Allison felt angry, she didn't know how much longer she could do this. The girl punched through the mirror and took a deep breath, while the glass shattered to the floor. She took a minute to calm down and then walked out like nothing happened. Scott listened to the whole thing. He reached out and touched the girl, to let her know that he was there for her.

Instead of comforting Allison, The alpha fell to his knees automatically. He felt a burning sensation, along with a sharp stabbing, practically everywhere. He let go and absorbed the pain. The girl turned around and knelt beside Scott.

"Oh my God, Scott! Are you okay?" Allison asked as he started to get back up. The alpha shook his head, he heard a ringing in his ears, and his vision was a little blurry. When everything settled, his eyes widened at Allison. He realized the makeup from before came off and he fully took in her features. It looked like she was dead.

"Allison... what- I-" Scott couldn't come up with any words. He remembered when Stiles was like this. It was after they got Void to leave his body. To Scott, this was worse. She was playing the third game, but at what cost?

"Please don't tell my mom or dad. They have enough to deal with. Neither of them has to know." She tried to reason.

"Allison, you look dead! Your pain is unbearable! If you don't win this game..."

"I'll probably die and Void will take over, I know," The girl spoke.

"You should go home," Scott suggested, clearly worried.

"No. I can handle this." The girl walked off and went into her second-period class. The next few hours went by rather smoothly. Tara and Travis both made sure Allison didn't pass out. They kept asking if she was okay every ten minutes. The brunette finally had enough and walked into math. It was her last class of the day before detention and she wanted nothing more than to just. Go. Home.
