XIII. Ashton

KENZIE'S POV

I woke up to someone jumping on my bed. Ugh why can't I just sleeeeppppp
Then I felt a thud on my leg
I rub my eyes and look up
"Johnny what are you doing?"

"I got bored so I wanted you to wake up" he said laughing

I just mumbled and went back to sleep, closing my eyes

"Nooooo! Kenzie wake up right now!" Johnny whined

"Right. Okay I'm up!" I yelled

"Thank god. What do you want to do today?" He asked me

"Sleep" I mumbled

"Ugh I thought we were past this whole sleep thing"

"Alright! Why don't you leave me to get ready and I'll think of something?"

And so he left into the kitchen. I got up and brushed my hair. I decided that I wanted  to eat before getting dressed so I went into the kitchen to get some toast.
Johnny turned around to look at me and stood still
"What?!" I said shocked at his reaction

"Your um. In your PJs" he said scratching his neck

"Yeah what else do you expect me to sleep in?" I laughed

"Yeah but your PJs are just... A baggy top" he said looking away

"Oh come on! It's not like you didn't see me in a bikini at the beach" I responded

"Yeah but... All your wearing is an over sized top..."

"Seriously?! That's all it takes to turn you on?' I laughed
He shifted his eyes, looked away and sat down
Okay. Hehe time to tease him a bit
I walked right over to him and... sat on his lap
"Hey hey hey!! What are you doing, your not helping anything!" He responded

I moved my hand up and around his neck, while my other hand slowly rested on his chest
He looked up at me and smirked slightly
Johnny then put his hand by my waist, on my back and said
"Your going to be the death of me"

I leaned over to his ear and whispered
"You bet"
I lingered by this neck and looked into his eyes. Johnny began to lean in and move his hand to me head
Just then I sat up and said
"Right! Shall we put the sim thingy in your phone?"

He leaned away and scoffed
"What a tease"

"Oh I'm sorry your the one who said they wanted to do something today!"
I said getting up and walking to my room to get dressed
"I'm going to get in the shower!" Johnny called
"OKAY"

the door bell then rang which made me jump
I walked over and opened the door
Shit. Ashton. He stood there just looking at me
What do I do what do I do what do I do omg omg omg

"What are you-

"You look good" he said cutting me off
"Real good" he added
He stepped into the apartment and snaked his arms round my waist

"Get off of me" I said harshly looking down

"Can't do that princess. I only wanted to talk but you look too damn good"
He told me while one of the hands that were originally on my waist slid down my body

"She said get off" I heard a stern voice say from behind me
Johnny. Thank god.
Ashton ignored him though, leaning into me. I tried to push him away but before I could Johnny came rushing up and shoved him back.
"ARE YOU DEAF!"

"Wow wow wow bro calm down! I can do what i want, she's my girlfriend" Ashton yelled

Johnny laughed and pulled me away towards him
"No. She's not. You cheated on her"

"You know what shut up, you know nothing" Aston said right before throwing a punch at Johnny's face
Johnny then fell over

"OH MY GOD ASHTON NO!" I screamed

Johnny got up, touched his lip which was now bleeding and laughed again

"You call that a punch?" He laughed again

Quickly after that Johnny swung his arm and hit Ashton right in the jaw, sending him back hitting the wall behind him
"Leave" "now" Johnny said through his teeth. And so Ashton did that. He got up, frightened and ran away down the hall

I couldn't help it. Tears began running down the face
I fell to the floor and tucked my knees to my chest. It was like the day at Starbucks all over again. That feeling. The dark, painful feeling of a shovel digging into my chest and ripping more and more of my heart out. I hate it. I hate him.
Johnny turned around and saw me. He quickly joined me on the floor and wrapped his arms around me, comforting me.
"Come on you gotta get up Kenz, you can't let him control you forever" he whispered to me
I looked up at him and nodded
He helped me up, took me to a chair and wiped my eyes
"It hurts everywhere again" I said shaking
Johnny thought to himself for a moment

"Can I give you a piece of advice?" He asked
"Sure" I shrugged
"Laugh" he responded
"What?!" I said, confused

"When life gets you down, just laugh. That's what I do. What's the point in being hung up and sad over something you can't change or something that's already happened. No matter how many tears you cry it can't effect anything. So laugh, try to be happy and show the world you don't care. That you can take on anything it throws at you" he said smiling at me

"Wow...that's such an inspiring way to look at things" I mumbled, looking down
I thought about it. And laughed.

"See! That's what I'm talking about! How do you feel now?" He asked me

"Stupid! But a bit better. I get why you believe that and I want to believe it too" I said smiling and laughing some more
We both then laughed and laughed before hugging each other

"Thanks Johnny"
"Anytime" he responded, holding my hand in his
