"My Amyrtelle! Na-miss kita, anak! How have you been?" she squealed excitedly then pulled me into a tight hug.
Kapapasok pa lang namin ng pinto ay siya na agad ang sumalubong sa amin.
"Ma, she was here a week ago," Vince said in a matter-of-fact tone.
She let go of her hold on me then squinted her eyes, giving Vince an annoyed look. "So what? Is it bawal na to miss my daughter?"
Vince's forehead creased. "Iam your child here," he commented, stressing every word.
Tita uninterestedly waved her hand in front of her face, dismissing her son. She then motioned the door to the pool area. "Anyway, Hans and the boys are already in the pool area. You go na there," pagtataboy niya sa anak.
I stifled a laugh while watching them argue. They look so much alike that even Tita's expression is similar to Vince's, especially the way how their eyes show emotion.
"Go with Vicente muna, anak. I will check on Victoria first then I'll get back to you." She squeezed my hand gently then gave me an air kiss.
"Ikaw na yata ang anak ni Mommy," natatawang bulong niya nang tumalikod si Tita.
"Bakit? Selos ka?" I jokingly fired back.
He just laughed my comment off and gave me a quick shrug.
"She likes you--no--she loves you."
That's so sweet. I smiled internally at his remark. Tita Nica is very sweet and caring, ang swerte ng mga future in-laws at magiging apo niya.
We went to the pool area and there were three guys sitting near the pool.
"Lucas!" pasigaw na bati no'ng isa.
Judging from their get-up and manly aura, I guess they are all either a businessman or an entrepreneur.
Vince held me by my elbow and escorted me till we reached them. May mga mapanuksong ngiting nakapaskil sa mga labi nila kaya nahihinuha ko na na magkakaroon ng panibagong tease squad dito. Mga kaibigan nga 'to ni Vince.
"This is Amyrtelle," pakilala ni Vince nang makalapit kami sa kanila.
They all glanced at each other then gave us a teasing smile.
"Your?" nang-aasar na dugtong no'ng pinakamaliit sa kanan.
I bit a grin as I watch their playful expressions. They really thought they are toying with Vince when in fact, he is the one toying with them. It's a good thing we are yet to tell anyone about us, kasi for sure makukuriri lang kami sa mga tanong at side comments ng mga 'to.
"Girlfriend, Hans, girl-friend. Ano ka ba?" Batok naman no'ng isa pa, halatang nang-aasar.
Animo nakukunsuming tiningnan sila ni Vince kaya tatawa-tawang nag-apiran pa sila.
