"How are you feeling?" he asked against my neck.

"I'm feeling better," sagot ko at nakapikit na yumakap sa kaniya.

I still feel lightheaded, but definitely a lot better than yesterday.

"Should we stay in bed for the whole day?" marahang tanong niya habang hinahagod ang likod ko.

"That's a great idea. Let's consider this day a lazy day," natatawang sagot ko at saka ko idinantay ang isang hita ko sa hita niya.

He lifted his head and teasingly bumped his nose on my chin. "Are you hungry?"

"Wala akong gana," I answered with my still sleepy voice.

Wala akong panglasa saka masakit puson ko, gusto ko lang matulog.

"Go back to sleep, I'll wake you up when it's time to take your meds," he whispered and pulled me closer to him. He then took my hair and placed it above our heads, making sure that I'm not lying on my own hair.

We were about to doze back to sleep when the doorbell rang.

I heard him mumble something before carefully removing my legs and arms from being wrapped around him.

"I'll check who it is, you can sleep some more," he whispered then left after giving me a peck on the cheek.

"Where is my daughter, how is she?"

Agad akong napamulat.

"Ma! Lower down your voice, she's still sleeping!" Rinig ko pambabawal ni Vince.

Tita Nica? Nakakunot ang noong bumangon ako. I can hear them bickering to each other, kaya natatawang pinihit ko ang doorknob para lumabas.

"See? You woke her up." Hindi ko malaman kung nakalabi ba o naiinis na ani ni Vince.

Tita immediately strode toward me and pulled me into a hug. "How are you feeling? Is everything alright?" she asked, fondling around me checking my face and my temperature.

Hindi pa ako nakasasagot ay nagpa-ulan na naman siya ng mga tanong. "Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital? Or do you want me to call a doctor?" sunud-sunod na tanong niya saka marahang sinalat ang noo ko.

Mag-ina nga. Bulong ko sa isipan ko.

I held her hands and gave her an assuring smile. "Calm down, Tita." I chuckled. "It was just a passing fever, don't worry."

Vince went behind me and pulled as towards the sala so we can comfortably continue our conversation.

"Are you here for an official business, Ma?" Vince asked after a lighthearted kumustahan.

She shook her head. "I just came by to check on Amyrtelle," nakangiting sagot niya.

My forehead creased in confusion. "How did she know?" mahinang bulong ko kay Vince.
