Community Contribution

"Oh?" Helen asked.

"Yes. I spoke to your husband about this a while back. Back in ... I guess we call it Original Ninovan? Old Ninovan? Before we moved." Simi opened with.

Oh, boy. Here we go.

"Oh. That." Helen nodded. "Adrian's, shall we call it 'Community Contribution' to Ninovan. He mentioned it to me."

"Exactly. I have two children with Alexander. I would like two more in the near future. One with Adrian, and one with Tobey. Back to back, so that I can raise them together. I have a duty, but that is not entirely what this is about. Tobey is my lover, and I want to start a family with him."

"I see. Tobey: how do YOU feel about the idea that one of your children will be my husband's, in that scenario?" Helen asked. Jessica goes into Doctor Mode. Morgan into PI mode. Helen has politician mode, and this is that.

"I am a Ninovan. The concept of children being raised by the community is something I believe in. Further, I respect Adrain completely, and it would be an honor to co-father a child with him. I know Adrian's rule on this. He will not contribute a child and leave. He is not Alexander."

"You know him well." Denise said.

"I do." Tobey said.

"The reason you want to talk to me about this, Simi?" Helen asked.

"You were not there when all the events occurred. What happened with Jessica and Alexander." Simi opened with.

"No. I got to be there for the aftermath. The 'putting my wife back together' part." Helen said, and she let some of her irritation at that show through. Helen is never one to hide her feelings. Unless there is a political reason to, and obviously this is not one of those.

"Yes. I understand, but there were other things going on then too. Other discussions. I bring this up to say that, at the time, Jessica was very, very down on herself and said to me that I could, more or less, have a sexual relationship with Adrian and she had no say in the matter. This is because of what she did, and that declaration came from a place of pain. I did not take it seriously as a valid offer. Or as an abdication of her caring about it." Simi explained.

"I see." Helen said.

"I will not lie. I was and am very interested in experiencing what Jessica described him to be. Despite knowing the offer is not valid, the concept of it is stimulating. I talked to Adrian about it."

"A Vampire that gives a shit about you in bed?" Denise asked.

Simi looked away from Helen to give Denise a grin. "Exactly."

Simi looked back at Helen. "It is larger than that. My libidinous desires aside, of which Tobey is well aware, I do truly feel that Adrian's unique person, his amazing qualities as a Vampire, needs to be as broadly shared as is possible. I know you are not Ninovan, Adrian, but as you and I talked about, you are one of two known fertile males. You are one of maybe five of six people on the Earth with your range of senses. You never had the aggressive male turn so many have..."

"You do not think that when Adrian thrashed Alexander that this was not aggressive? As I hear it, it was quite the beat down, stopped only by Jessica." Helen asked.

"You want to see aggressive? Angel's father was killed by a jealous Siren. Alexander had unwanted sex with his wife, and Adrian only hurt him. He could have easily killed him. Anyone that saw the fight knew that Alexander was unable to even lay a finger on him. Further, Jessica stopped it with a word. It was like she hit the off switch. So: no. Not aggressive. If anything, restrained." Simi said.
