You Are Nothing Like Sandy

"Stick out your arm." Denise said.

"You done? That's all you need?" Sandy asked, sticking out her arm. "You know, blondie, I do chicks too. You can bite me other places."

"Arm." Denise said. "He is the only one I bite other places."

I think Denise does not like Sandy. She keeps putting that in her head.

Sandy got the message too. "You'll fuck anyone but me." She accused me.

"Not true." Vera said. "I know lots of women he won't screw."

"You one of 'em?' Sandy asked.

"Me? No. I have been with him longer than anyone here." Vera said. "I shined the way. These ladies would not know the lovely lay he is without me. You know that pop song about the lady wanting the guy with the 'slow hand and the easy touch'?"

"Pointer Sisters." Morgan supplied.

"Play that Pointer Sisters song on repeat in your pointy little head because that is him." Vera sounded very evil there, planting not only a mantel picture but an earworm to go with it.

"I can put that on the speaker system in here." Denise offered.

"Fuck. I don't get it! I'm cute! I am downright fuckable naked. You saw me!!! I'm a damn spinner compared to this group!" Sandy looked at me with something verging on a strong dislike.

"He's got Helen... you know, the actual blonde that was here before, for when he wants a spinner." Vera said.

"Oh, get fucked." Sandy told Vera.

"OK." Vera agreed. I hid a smirk at the idea of Sandy trying to do a verbal battle of wits with Vera. Vera knows all the cuss words and sexual positions. Her stories on the Internet when we were chasing down Sandy and her HPA cohorts were always vivid with sexual imagery.

Denise fanged Sandy in the forearm. Not into a blood supply. "There. I put it into the muscle. It will take a few minutes for you to feel it. When you do, it will come on slow, but it will stay longer."

Sandy looked at the twin marks on her forearm with joyful anticipation. "I can't wait! Between my legs would have been better, but I guess you don't do cute chicks in jail."

We left Sandy to her high and went upstairs.

"You're blonde?" I asked Denise, teasing.

"I don't know what color this is? It's not blonde." Denise said, pulling some strands around to look.

"I like my girls just like I like my honey." Morgan sang. Then said: " It's Honey colored. Dark honey at that: As from buckwheat. Not Clover. Though of course it is not a singular color and has lighter strands mixed in. Those are more Clover honey-colored. No one has monochromatic hair. Not even Jessica. There is always variation. Your hair is more varied than average."

Denise looked at Morgan "You think you know someone."

"Don't pay her any attention. She has a damn song for everything." Jessica said.

"No shit." Denise said. "I never even heard that song."

"Kehlani Parrish did it. R&B Singer." Morgan supplied.

"Family music night. You never know what Morgan is going to pull out for us to play." Jessica said. "I have to beg to get some Phil Collins."

"Helen hates Techno." I said.

"Hey. We did 'In the Air Tonight' a few weeks ago." Morgan scolded Jessica.

"That was awesome. We need that one in rotation. You and Adrian can work on making that echo effect with just your voices!" Jessica enthused.
