I was sitting on the couch at the Akatsuki hideout reading an Edgar Allen Poe book, it was quiet here. Most of the members are away on missions or off doing their own thing. I had my feet propped up on the coffee table when they were suddenly knocked off. I tore my eyes from my book to glare at who dared move my feet only to be face to face with Kakuzu, "Feet belong on the ground. Not on my damn table."

I rolled my eyes and mocked him, "Yeah yeah, whatever you say grandpa."

He growled at me, "Listen here you little Brat, I didn't take you in with the goodness of my heart. I owed your mother a life debt, and I-"

I cut him off moving my hands as if they were talking, "I hate debt. Blah blah blah. I get it. You don't have to keep reminding me that my mother saved your life and ended up dying in the process." I went back to my book as he grumbled something about me being ungrateful.

I groaned loudly slamming my book closed and stood up stomped my way out of the living room and outside sitting under a tree and continued my reading.

Small footsteps came up to me and I sighed thinking it was Tobi, but when I looked up, I saw Deidara standing there, he wasn't wearing his Akatsuki coat and had his hands in his pants pockets.

"Oh? Deidara, what's up?" I leaned up from the tree and patted the grass next to me, "Nothing much, just got back from a mission with Tobi." He sat down next to me and leaned his back on the tree.

"Seems like it didn't go so well?"

He rubbed his face with his hands, "Not really. He's just so damn annoying. He's always making fun of my art. Hm."

I giggled, Deidara always hated when people don't take him seriously or rags on his art. He's a bit sensitive about it. Me and Deidara have been friends since he joined after me, us being the two youngest members we clung to each other like white on rice. Plus I love his sculptures, I have a few in my room that he didn't make with detonating clay. I didn't feel like being asleep when they exploded.

"He's basically a man child. Don't take what he says to heart, besides I think your art is amazing Deidara." I went back to reading my book, Deidara blushed and looked away. After a few quiet seconds he leaned over my arm,

"Whatcha reading anyways?"

I giggled and turned the page, "Edgar Allen Poe." He got quiet again, "Hey Y/N, can I ask a favor?"

"Hmm? Sure what's up?"

He played with the ends of.his long blonde hair, "Can-can I sculpt you? Hm." His tone was low and fragile.

I looked up at him in shock, he wanted me to model for him?

"Sure Deidara. That sounds like fun!" I went to close my book but he stopped me, "Don't put it away. Keep reading, please?" I blinked a few times at him and smiled opening my book back up and continued reading.

We stayed quiet the whole time, we really didn't need to say anything. He would let out little groans of frustration if he messed up and had to redo something. I almost done with my book, the sun had began to set and hide behind the trees.

"Okay Y/N! I'm done!" Deidara's smile was wide as he showed me the finished sculpture. I was blown away, it looked exactly like me, he even put the scar I had over my eye.

"Deidara... That is amazing! It's so good!" I picked it up examining it with glee. His baby blue eye sparkled, "You really think so?!"

"Totally!" I stood up with it in my hands and we began to walk back to the hideout.

"Oh Deeeeidara!!!" Tobi's loud childlike voice called out behind us, "Oh! Y/N too! Tobi is so happy to see both of you!" He pulled us into a tight hug and then pulled away.

"OH! Is that a new sculpture! Let Tobi see!" Tobi took it from me and Deidara stuck his hand out to stop him but then the sculpture exploded sending all of us flying backwards.

I hit the side of the mountain hard, my back taking the brute force, Deidara a few feet to my right.

"Y/N! Are you alright?!" He asked running over to me, "Yeah I'm fine. Are you okay?"

"TOBI HAS NO ARMS!!!!"

"Damn it Tobi!!" Me and Deidara yelled in unison and walked to help Tobi find his arms.
