I walked into Ichiraku Ramen and stopped at the curtains as Naruto and Iruka Sensei were sitting in the middle of the counter, I smiled at them and sat at the far end on the left.

I was reading the menu when Naruto sat his head on his arms on the counter, "He shouldn't have done that, he should be here welcoming me home.."

I looked at him and our eyes connected, I gave him a sweet smile but he just looked away, sadness and loneliness pooling in his baby blue eyes. My heart broke for him, but I think I'm really the only one who can understand him, I never had parent's either, my mother died giving birth toe, and my father in his grief left me as a newborn to die in the woods, thankfully an ANBU Black Ops member found me and brought me here to the Leaf to be raised in an orphanage, or unfortunately let's you go after you graduate from the academy. I've have never had a loving hug from someone before, or a parents love.

Sure I was very lonely and living in a halfway house here, but I get to see my friends, so that's something right?

Right..?

My attention was taken from my thoughts and ramen to Naruto yelling and slamming money on the table and running out, his ramen untouched.

"NARUTO!" Iruka yelled after him,

Ichiraku looked at the money Naruto left and sighed, "He didn't leave enough." Iruka opened his mouth to respond but I did it for him.

"Don't worry Sesnei, I got it. Yours too." I gave him a smile and he blushed softly, "Thank you Y/N."

Iruka ate his food, and thanked me again before leaving, hands in his pockets. I stated at my own empty bowl and sighed, I want to make Naruto feel welcomed in his own home, I want him to know he's not alone. We've been friends since the academy, but he's never known my life's story, he's never even asked where I live or where my parents are.

I stood up, pulling out my money pouch and paid for all our meals and waved goodbye before leaving. I strolled around the village market district thinking about Naruto, I needed to come up with a plan on how I was going to cheer Naruto up. What happened at Ichiraku's kept playing over and over in my head, why didn't he eat his ramen? Even when Naruto is upset he still eats his food. Then it hit me, his ramen didn't have Naruto fishcakes in it, the shop was out today.

That's it.

My idea finally hit me, I'll just make Naruto homemade ramen with Naruto fishcakes and surprise him! My smile grew wide as I raced around the market district buying all the ingredients I needed, I even picked up a small cake for him. I was a smiling mess on my way to his apartment. I was determined to cheer him up one way or another.

I stood in front of his door and knocked on it with my shoe. No answer. I knocked louder, still no answer so I kicked it hard a few times. Still nothing.

I sighed loudly, so he wasn't home. I hung my head low and looked at the doorknob, maybe it was unlocked? I reached for it and turned it. Too my surprise it was. I quickly slipped in his apartment and closed the door behind me.

"This place is a disaster." I scoffed, garbage, and dirty clothes littered the floor as I went to his kitchen/bedroom and set the bags down on his table. Not to mention a sink full of dirty dishes

Maybe I should clean up first.

I started with his dirty dishes first, then I worked on cleaning up all the garbage and throwing it all in garbage bags and set them by the door to be thrown out later, I organized all his shoes on the rack, even placing my own. And lastly I picked up all his dirty clothes and threw them in his washing machine and started them.
