That's all I could use to describe Y/N.

Well there were many other words but beautiful was always the first.

She would always bring water and food pills to our training sessions. Was always fussing over Shikamaru, even though he hated it because she was embarrassing him, but deep down he let her do what she wanted.

See Shikamaru's dad, Shikaku Nara, died trying to protect Y/N and a baby Shikamaru from the Nine Tail Fox attack, ever since then she has been keeping a close eye on Shikamaru, would even stay awake when he was away on missions.

She also hasn't been seen with any other man. It wasn't until recently that she has grown out of her shell and has been going out more.

And I've fallen hard for her. But it was wrong, Shikamaru is my student, it would be highly inappropriate.

Still though, she has flirted with me in the past...

"Shikamaru!!" Y/N's voice rang out in the training grounds, Me and Shikamaru stopped sparring, each of us panting hard, shirts off in this summer heat.

As she ran up to us I noticed that she was holding a picnic basket and a jug of water. Her small frame struggling to hold the jug in her arm.

"Here let me help you." I said flicking my half smoked cigarette on the ground and grabbing the water jug from her arm.

"Oh thank you Asuma, I appreciate that." Her cheeks turned red when she noticed I wasn't wearing a shirt, causing my tan cheeks to also have a small hint of pink.

I sat the water jug down in the grass and tuned back around, Shikamaru was already embarrassed over his mom fussing over his training.

"Well if you boys are hungry, I made some sandwiches, and brought some cut up fruit I bought at the market today." She held up the basket with a bright smile on her face.

"Really? Thanks mom!" Shikamaru took the basket and hurried to sit down by the water and shoved half a sandwich in his mouth.

"Shikamaru! Don't put so much in your mouth at once or you'll choke!" Y/N yelled stomping up to him,

"How many times have I told you you're gonna choke on your food when you eat like that?!"

Shikamaru's face was unamused and bored as his mother scolded him.

"I swear you and Choji are going to eat yourselves sick one day." Y/N huffed and crossed her arms, I can almost see steam coming out of her ears.

"Sorry geez what a drag." He mumbled and put a piece of melon in his mouth. Y/N rolled her eyes and crouched down pulling out two cups and filling both with water, she handed one to Shikamaru and stood up handing one to me, along with a sandwich.

"Thank you Mrs. Nara." I said and took the cup gulping some of the water down fast and took a bite of sandwich

"Oh please, you've known me for years now Asuma, call me Y/N. Nara seems too formal." She waved me off with her slender hand as she blushed. I chuckled at her and nodded my head.
