First Date

(Age:13)

I was walking around the market district, my mom sent me out to fetch some groceries because we were low on some things, being a Gennin she wants me to be more responsible.

I was standing by a fruit stand looking at the apples when I heard hushed voices close by,

"Tell her Kiba!"

"I can't! I'm chickening out...I'm nervous!"

"What's the worse that could happen? She say no?"

"EXACTLY!"

"Go Kiba! Or I'll tell her myself!"

Kiba fell down, face first on the ground, Akamaru sitting happily on his head.

"Kiba!" I rushed over to him couching down and helping him sit up, he was rubbing his face as he groaned, whispering curse words under his breath.

"What happened Kiba?"

He looked at me his face turning red, chuckling nervously, "Uh...Uh I just fell is all. Just a little clumsy, ya know?"

He had scraps all over his face, some were even bleeding, I sat my bags down on the ground and touched his cheek, my hand glowing green.

"You hurt your face pretty bad, be careful next time you clutz."

I didn't think it was possible but Kiba's face turned even more red, "T-Thanks Y/N."

I removed my hand when his face was healed and scratch takamaru behind the ear, "No problem Kiba." I stood up collecting my bags and turned to walk away.

"Y/N wait!"

"Hmm?" I turned back to see Kiba standing up, hands balled into his fists at sides, "Wouldyouliketogoonadatewithme?"

I blinked rapidly at his mumbled conjoined words, "I'm sorry...what?"

He growled lowly, "Would you like to go on a date with me?!?"

My heart picked up in speed and my own face turned red, "Sure Kiba, I would love that."

He looked like he couldn't breathe, but a huge smile spread across his face, "R-really? Okay! Um how about tonight? I'll come by your place to get you at seven?"

I giggled at his nervousness, "Okay sounds good. Bye Kiba!" I waved at him as I ran home to tell my mom.

My mom was over the moon that I actually had a date, she told them that if my dad Was still alive he would be crying tears of joy, he always dreamed of me being with a man and having a family, I was his little girl he wanted me to have everything life had to offer.

I quickly helped my mother put the groceries away I had bought and went to take a shower. I was giggly and ecstatic to be going on a date with Kiba, well going on a date in general, I'm not the prettiest girl around, and by far the strongest, boys never really looked at me like they do Ino or Sakura, so yo have Kiba ask me out on a date made me super happy.
