"Good! You caught on quite quickly. I'm impressed!" Master Jiraiya let out a hearty laugh at me being able to strike him down in a kunai fight.

"Now, you must master the Rasengan. As I did, and Minato did before you. It's a Jutsu that I pass down to all my students from the Hidden Leaf. And you;" he poked my nose, "Are ready Y/N."

"Y/N! Get back to back with me! Orochimaru isn't going to let us go so easily, so keep on your toes."

"C'mon little Lady, let me show you a good time~" The man's breath was putrid, it made me want to vomit. "No thanks, so please leave me alone." The man grunted and grabbed me by the wrist and tugged me out of my chair in the bar.

"Don't make this any harder than you already have bitch. Now just be a good girl and come with me." A large hand grabbed the man's wrist that held my own, I followed the hand up to Masters face, "She said no. So I suggest you let her go." Masters voice was low and angry, his eyes were narrowed into small slits.

"I don't want no trouble mister." The man let me go and scurried off, Jiraiya turned to me and pulled me to his chest hugging me tightly, "Are you okay Little Lamb?" I wrapped my arms around his waist and nodded my head as I pressed closer into his body.

"Alright Little Lamb, this is where we part ways for a little while."

Tears stung my eyes as Master Jiraiya held onto my face, "W-why? Why can't I go with you?" He sighed as he pulled me into a hug, "The Hidden Rain Village isn't a place for you. It's too dangerous, I'll be back before you know it." He held me at arms length as I cried, "No! I want to go with you! We've been everywhere together for the last three years..."

He held onto my cheeks and used his thumbs to swipe away my tears, "I know, but your life means everything to me. If something were to happen to you, I couldn't live with myself. Wait here for me, okay Little Lamb?"

I bit my bottom lip and nodded my head, I'd do anything for Master Jiraiya, I'd wait a thousand years if I had to. I love him so damn much I'd take my own life if it meant he would live. "Okay...I'll wait here. Just...come back soon, okay?"

He leaned down and kissed my forehead, his lips lingering on my skin. "I will." He released me and I watched as his large fingure got further and further away from me untill he was gone completely.

Four years....it's been four long years since Master Jiraiya left me here to wait for him in the Hidden Leaf. Everyday that I could, I would stand by the front gate and wait for him to walk through them and embrace me again. Everyday I waited to smell his familiar scent, to hear his deep voice. But everyday I went home alone and heartbroken...

Today is like any other day, I didn't have anything to do so here I sat by the front gate, book in hand as I waited.
