Sasuke x Shikamaru x Sakura

It has been a year since Sasuke cheated on me with Sakura and since I starting dating Shikamaru.

I was very bitter in the beginning, I was devastated, hurt, all of the above, I was felt it, I cried everyday I saw them together in the village. Sasuke always made sure I would see them together, like he took pleasure in seeing me cry and run away. But then came along Shikamaru, he showed me what true love was. I made him work hard for it though, I knew it wasn't fair to him, but I was still broken and I needed to make sure he wouldn't go anywhere.

Sasuke has been away from the village for a while and doesn't know that me and Shikamaru are together. Sakura however has been watching us closely, I've been nice to her about not spying on us but I'm losing my patience with her.

Today Shikamaru was supposed to meet me at the market district, we are buying food to make a special anniversary dinner for his parents. I was walking by  an alley way and heard loud wet kissing, I snuck a look and saw that Sasuke was back and was sucking face with Sakura, she opened her eyes and glanced at me, a blush creeping on her face. Sasuke removed his mouth from need and followed her gaze to me. H gave me a dark smile and groped Sakura's breast. I gave him unamused look and waved at Sakura giving her a smile, "Good afternoon Sakura!" Sasuke growled and I walked away humming to myself.

Standing by a flower stall looking to buy some for Shikamaru's mother, I saw pink and white in my peripheral vision. Glancing I yet again saw Sasuke sucking face with Sakura, his attempts to hurt me were failing miserably and he's starting to notice, I walked up to them, Sasuke smiling in their heated kiss, I reached around them and plucked a white Lilly from the stack and walked away to pick more flowers out.

I paid for flowers and began to walk towards a weapon stall when I felt a hand on my hip, I looked behind and Shikamaru smiled kissing me on the cheek, "Hey babe, sorry I got held up by Lord Kakashi."

I giggled, "It's okay. But don't let him hear you say that, he hates it remember?" I laced my fingers through his and we walked.

"Okay so I got the flowers for your mom, but I'm not really sure what to get your dad. He's a hard man to shop for."

Shikamaru thought for a minute and then snapped his fingers, "We can get him a new Shoji board? His old one is kinda...well old."

"Okay sounds good Shikamaru. Besides he's going to need a new one once-"

"Y/N! Shikamaru!" We turned to see Naruto and Hinata jogging our way.
"Hey guys!" I waved smiling at Hinata and her huge round belly.

"How's the baby doing?" Shikamaru asked shaking hands with Naruto.

"Good. Really good, he should be here any day now." Hinata blushed rubbing her baby bump.

"How exciting! I can't wait to see him." Me and Shikamaru shared a happy look with each other.

"Well I heard the big news! Congratulations on your pregnancy Y/N." Hinata hugged me the best she could and we laughed.

"Thank you Hinata."

"What?! You're pregnant?" I looked towards the loud angry voice to my left, Shikamaru stood defensively beside me as Sasuke glared in our direction, Sakura looking very uncomfortable next to him.

"Yes. But I don't see how thats any of your business Sasuke." Shikamaru sneered at him.

"So you just jumped into her pants as soon she spread her legs huh?"

"The fuck you just say Uchiha?" I grabbed onto Shikamaru's sleeve, Naruto ready to step in if he needed to, shielding Hinata behind him.

"Listen Sasuke, you cheated on me with Sakura remember? You both made that bed, but I'm not obligated to stay hurt forever by you always shoving your relationship in my face just to see me cry. You're both pathetic in my eyes, you, Sasuke for trying to make me jealous, and you Sakura for jumping at the chance to be with Sasuke even though he was with me." Sakura looked down at her feet, tears in her eyes.

"But, " I sighed, "I hope you guys work out. I really do. I hope you two get married and have your own family, restore your clan. I'm happy with Shikamaru, he taught me what true love is. I'm So stupid for not seeing it before." Shikamaru smiled at me and kissed my cheek.

"But now if youll excise us, we have some shopping to do." I turned back to Naruto and Hinata, "Bye guys, I'll check on on your later Hinata." I hugged her and me and Shikamaru walked away hand in hand.

"You did very well Y/N. I'm proud of you."

"Thanks Shikamaru, it didn't even hurt. I really do wish them that best." He stopped me from walking and leaned down to give me a sweet loving kiss.

"That's why I love you. No matter who hurt you, you always hope for good things to them." I blushed and smiled.

Things may not have worked out the way I planned with Sasuke, but of he wasn't such a womanizer I wouldn't have found out about the love Shikamaru held for me, and I've never know true happinesses.
