Meeting Choji and Shikamaru was the best day of my life. Being a non-ninja with two very close Ninja friends means I can go into the woods outside of the village and be safe with them both by my side and collect all the rare flowers for my studies. They never complained about protecting me, never once called me a burden, just always followed me wherever I wanted to go.

It started after Pain's attack on the village, I was one of the cooks bringing food and water to the workers and ninjas who needed it. My family owns Yanaki BBQ, Choji's favorite place to eat. I work as a waitress but was never given a second glance, maybe it was because I had to act nice, or maybe because I wasn't that attractive to him or Shikamaru.

After the attack I was helping carry the injured to the make shift hospital, bringing food. But I always made sure to bring extra for Choji because I knew of his eating habits, how he got his strength through food. Shikamaru always being by his side was just a plus. So I brought extra on top of the extra just for them. After that started we actually made small talk, they looked forward to my visits and would even give me flowers as a thank you gift for looking out for them. After the village was rebuilt we would go play Shoji at Shikamaru's house and became close friends.

But now the Fourth Great Shinobi War is coming up and I was a wreck. I can't handle them being away from me for more than a day, how am I supposed to act knowing they are going to WAR? I tried to spend as much time as I could with them in between their training and preparations. But to me, it just wasn't enough, the fear of losing them was just too much for me. I kept feeling sick to my stomach, waking up with tears in my eyes and a cold swear covering my body.

I wasn't until I had a dream about them both of them being dead at my feet did I finally realize, that I loved them both more than anything in this World.

Today was the last day I will have with them because tomorrow they leave out for the War. I told them I wasn't feeling to well and that I wanted to go to our secret place and just lay under the big oak tree we carved out names into. As expected they happily agreed and walked with me in a comfortable silence.

We sat under the tree, the wind was slightly blowing, and the sun was high in the air. The prefect day to tell them how I really feel about the both of them. I sat in sideways inChoji's lap, my head resting on his chest, my legs stretched out, Shikamaru had his head in my lap sighing as I played with his hair freeing it from it's hair tie.

"So, are you going to tell us why you've been sick lately, or are you going to keep it to yourself?" Choji asked rubbing his hand up and down my arm.

I sighed looking down at Shika who cracked an eye open to look at me, "Well...Im-im scared."

"Of what Y/N?" Shika asked fully opening both of his eyes.

"Of you guys not coming back from this war, that you'll both die and I'll be alone here."

Shika turned to his side facing me, his arm resting across Choji's legs to rub my lower back, "We aren't going to die, we are stronger than that."

"Yeah Y/N, beisdes, we will always come back to you."

I bit my lip, my heart thumping in my chest, my cheeks heated up as I fiddled with Shika's black hair. Choji poked my cheek chuckling, "What's got you all flustered?"I swatted his hand away giggling only to be poked my Shika in my side, when I got his hand away I was attacked by four hands tickling me, i squealed in laughter as I fell from Choji's lap and onto the ground wildly kicking my legs and moving their hands away from my sides.

"o-o-KAY! Okay! Stop! I give!" I laughed as they finally stopped tickling me, I laid on my back panting hard as they laughed above me.

"So tell us." They said in unison smiling down at me. My heart swelled in my chest as I sat up. I wringed my fingers before bashfully looking at them, their eyebrows were rose high on their foreheads.

"Well um..." I sat up on my knees scooting closer to them until all of our knees touched. "Can I just show you instead?"

Choji and Shikamaru looked at the other in confusion, silently trying to communicate with the other before shrugging their shoulders and looking back at me, "Uh sure." Choji said scrunching his eyebrows together slightly.

I reached over, cupping the backs of their backs pulling them close to me, I kissed Shikamaru first, his eyes blown wide, I shifted to Choji giving him the same kiss I gave Shikamaru. I pulled away biting my lip my cheeks just as red as theirs. "I love the both of you, more than a friend. I only realized it last night. But I think I've loved you for a while now, but-" My sentence was cut off by both boys trapping me in a three way kiss. Choji had a hand on my cheek, Shikamaru had a hand tangled in my hair.

The kiss left me breathless as they pulled away, "We thought you'd never feel the same way." I blinked at them, the feeling of euphoria from the kiss clouding my mind. "We love you too. We wanted to share you, but didn't know how to ask you about it." Shikamaru rubbed the back of his neck, "It was a real drag really."

I smiled brightly tackling them to the ground in a hug with me laying on top of them. "You guys can't leave now. I'll die without you here." Two hands rested on the backs of my thighs.

"You won't die idiot, we said we'd come back." Shikamaru laughed in my ear, a soft kiss planted on my neck.

Another kiss on the other side, "Yeah, now that we now you feel the same we will definitely be coming back to you."

The rest of the day was spent laying together under the tree talking about the future, that night we stayed at Shikamaru's cuddled together, both of them trapping me in a cage of warmth and love, soft snores filled my ears as both boys laid their heads on my chest, an arm around the other two.

I was still going to worry while they were away, but I know they will try their damnedest to come home to me so we can explore this new found love.
