Being the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf was so tiresome, I barley had time to do anything fun, hang out with friends or even enjoy a nice hot bath. I'm surprised I haven't developed carpal tunnel in my wrist from all the writing I have to do on a daily basis.

I sighed and slammed my head on my desk after replying to my hundredth scroll today. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths. My office door opened and and footsteps emerged and stopped at my desk. "Lady Hokage?" Shikamaru said tapping on my head.

I groaned picking my head up and looking at him, "Yes Shikamaru, what is it?" He held out yet another scroll to me, I groaned looking at it, "Can it wait? My hand hurts and I'm so hungry!" I whined like child, Shikamaru chuckled at me and waved the scroll around. "

"I think you might wanna look at it. It's from Gaara~." I quickly snatched the scroll from him and began to read it, my eyes swiftly admiring Gaara's beautiful handwriting.

He wants to have a meeting with me, he wants me to come to the Hidden Sand as soon as I can. There's been a development in finding were Kabuto went after the War. Both the Hidden Leaf and Sand have been hunting day and night for the crazed man. I pulled out an clean scroll and wrote out my response, saying we will be there in three days. I signed it perfectly and rolled it up handing it to Shikamaru.

"Send this back to Lord Kazekage, inform Kakashi Hatake that he is to accompany me on this trip."

Shikamaru slightly bowed, "Yes Lady Hokage." He then turned to leave and walked out closing the door behind him. I waited a minute to make sure he was really gone and jumped out of my chair letting out a loud squeal. I get to see Gaara again after so many years, my crush on him was obvious to people who actually know me, but not to Gaara and the everyone in the Hidden Sand Village.

Shikamaru returned with Kakashi some time later, "Shikamaru, while I'm gone, you are acting Hokage." I took off my Hokage hat and handed it to him his face full of shock.

"W-what?"

"I trust you and only you to do this for me Shikamaru." I smiled brightly at him and he smiled back letting out a small chuckle, "I'll do my best Lady Y/N." He gave me a hug and me and Kakashi left, heading to my room so I can pack some clothes.

Kakashi leaned against my doorframe, his hands in his pockets, "You going to wear something nice for the Kazekage?" A hint of teasing in his voice.

The dress I was holding onto in my closet fell to the bottom as I quickly turned around, red faced as ever.

"Um..maybe... Shut up!" I turned back around and quickly shoved some leggings, t shirts and a sun dress into my bag and closed it up. I clasped on my weapons pouch and gave a loud sigh. "Alright, I'm ready to go."

Kakashi held the door open for me and gestured for me to go first, "After you Lady Y/N." His voice still teasing.

We walked to the front gate, everyone waving us off and praying for a safe return. When we got further way I leaped up into the trees and ran as fast as I could, Kakashi behind me,

"H-hey! Wait up!" He hollered, I turned to look at him and gave him a huge grin, "No! I've been cooped up in that office for far too long!" He gave me a closed eye smirk and and caught up to me, laughing as we raced through the trees.

We had camped the night after, our legs too weak and bodies too tired to keep going. I laid in my sleeping bag, Kakashi taking watch, I looked up at the sky thinking of Gaara.
