The Bangtan's were waiting for their leader in the office...
"Joonie... How was the museum?" Jungkook asked as soon as he saw Namjoon. "Next time I might come with you. I'm bored."
"It was... interesting enough." He said while trying to hide his smile.
"Something happened... Come on spill it." Jimin eyed him suspiciously.
"Well..."
"Oh come on. Are you keeping secrets from us?" Yoongi asked arching a brow.
"I met the leader of the Phoenix," Namjoon stated as he sat on a chair and poured himself a glass of whiskey.
"No, you didn't," Hoseok said, covering his mouth in shock.
"How was she?" Jin asked, ignoring Hoseok's disbelief.
"She is smart, I'll give her that," Namjoon answered, this time without bothering to cover up his smile. He liked her. He was impressed by her, something that didn't happen to him anymore. After everything he saw and did, being impressed didn't come easy to him.
Hoseok leaned forward, his eyes wide. "What was she like? Did she seem dangerous?"
Namjoon took a sip of his whiskey, savoring the burn. "Dangerous? Yes, but not in the way you'd think. She's sharp, observant, and has a presence that commands attention. She knows how to play the game."
Jin raised an eyebrow. "And you like that, don't you?"
Namjoon chuckled, a low, rumbling sound. "Maybe I do. It's been a while since someone has intrigued me like this. She's not just a leader; she's a force to be reckoned with."
Hoseok shook his head in disbelief. "I can't believe you met her. What's our next move?"
Namjoon leaned back in his chair, his eyes thoughtful. "We need to be careful. She's not someone to underestimate. But I have a feeling our paths will cross again, and when they do, we need to be ready."
Jin nodded. "Agreed. We need to gather more information about her and her gang. We can't afford any surprises."
Namjoon stared into his glass, his mind racing with thoughts of Natasha. She was a puzzle he was eager to solve, and he couldn't wait for their next encounter.
"Stop grinning like an idiot," Yoongi jumped into the conversation. "She is still our rival. Do you know what she was doing there?"
"She had recording glasses; she didn't even bother hiding that from me," Namjoon replied, his smile fading slightly.
"Well, I guess she knew who you were," Jimin said quietly.
"If she was there, I think they are planning to steal something," Jin said, shrugging. "Not our problem either way."
"Let's make a bet on what they are going to steal," Taehyung suggested, and the rest agreed eagerly.
"Maybe she is trying to steal the Mona Lisa," Jungkook said, rubbing his jaw thoughtfully.
"I don't think so. If we know that's not real, she knows it too," Namjoon stated firmly.
They made their bets: Taehyung bet that she would steal "The Girl with a Pearl Earring," Jungkook changed his bet and placed it on a Van Cleef & Arpels brooch, Jimin agreed with Taehyung, Yoongi placed his bet on another painting, Namjoon said she would most likely try to steal a statue, and Hoseok placed his bet on The Cullinan diamond. Jin was the one who kept track of the bets and the money.
"Alright, let's see who wins," Jin said, jotting down the bets. "But remember, this isn't just a game. We need to stay sharp and be ready for anything."
