Maite was at the bar drinking a nonalcoholic cocktail when she suddenly heard the man sitting next to her asking about Natasha. She ignored him; it wasn't unusual for men to ask about her, everybody was looking for her for one reason or another. She thought about the heist they pulled at the museum.
Maite smirked, no matter how long or how hard they would look for them, they won't be found. She erased all the details that were about them online. She made sure that whenever she accessed a page, her digital footprint would never be caught. More so now, since they finally realized that the diamond was stolen, she had to double check everything to make sure there was no trace of her or the girls. She couldn't risk being caught because she made a mistake. In her line of work, mistakes are not allowed. You would either end up dead or in jail, neither of those options were appealing.
Maybe she should take a few days off and visit her parents. She missed them so much. She shook her heads, her parents had to be taken in small doses. Not because they were mean or abusive, because she felt under pressure all the time. Their relationship was somewhat great, if you didn't speak about money, boyfriends or studies. The pressure to be perfect, to have some diplomas under her name, the pressure to have a lot of money, to know everything. Only thinking about it gave her a headache.
Maite sighted, maybe alcohol was the answer to her questions. Maybe if she drowned her sorrows in it she won't have to think. "No, that is a stupid idea" she thought. Tomorrow she will have a hangover and her problems would still be there.
"I'm sorry I do not know where Natasha is. Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you." Minho said cleaning some glasses, ignoring the man in front of him.
"I need to speak to her." The man yelled.
"If you yell again, I'm going to throw you out." Maite said without even looking at him.
"Come again?" he asked surprised.
"I think you heard me the first time." she glanced at him. She had to swallow hard. He was so hot, it almost knocked her off her seat. "How can someone who looks like you, be so rude?"
"Look lady, I'm not looking to get laid." he turned his attention back at Minho. "Where is she?"
"Do you really think a girl like me would say to a stranger let's go fuck? Keep on dreaming." she asked him a dry voice. Before she had a chance to say something else, her phone suddenly rang. "Minho, give him a drink on the house, just to show him some Lucky 13 hospitality."
Angie was on the couch in the office searching for some shoes online. She had her eyes on a limited-edition Gucci shoes, but she moved too slow and now they were sold out. She jumped startled when Maite came in, calm as a storm.
"Why you mad?" asked Angie, noticing how upset she was.
"Besides the fact that a guy was just rude to me, we might have something to work. Call the others."
"Natasha is on her way and Becky will be an hour late. They called me a few minutes ago."
"Good. Meanwhile I'll do some research." Maite opened the computer and looked into the new client. The job seemed easy, place some microphones in some strategic places all over a house. It was the first time they get to go to a masquerade party.
Natasha finally arrived, and as usual she went to greet Minho, she kissed him on the cheek and a guy sitting alone at the bar glared at her. "What the hell is your problem?" She couldn't help but ask.
Hoseok rose to his feet to face her. "We need to talk. I've waited for quite some time for you."
"Why?" she asked raising her eyebrow.
