Complete.
Will they follow her rules?
He was freaking out, and Jin, never freaked out. All eyes were on him.
"We got an email. A really weird one." He said in a high pitch voice.
"What does it say?" Yoongi murmured sitting next to Namjoon.
"Dear Ban...
Becky was in the parking lot, looking at the seven cars perfectly aligned. Different brands and different colors. A shiny red Lamborghini caught her eye and she touched it.
"Don't scratch it. That's Yoongi's baby." Hoseok said, making Becky jump. "If something happens to his car, he will have our head."
Becky smirked and turned to him. "Ah, something that you are afraid of."
Hoseok shrugged. "I'm afraid of a lot of things."
"Getting close to me is another fear that you seem to have."
Hoseok took a step closer to her. "I'm not afraid of you, if that's what your implying."
"I didn't implied. I made an observation."
"I see you developed quite a bite."
"I developed a lot of things. I'm not the same pathetic girl you left behind."
"It wasn't my choice. Like I said, I came back but your parents lied to me."
"Shit happens I guess." Becky shrugged. She wanted to leave, but Hoseok caught her arm.
"What happened after I left?"
"Nothing much. I got myself a boyfriend my parents liked more than me. He was perfect in their eyes, he treated me well when they were around. After I moved with him, he started to change. He became obsessive, he started hitting me, but never to my face. He didn't want to leave any proof to what he did. I tried to tell them that he abused me, it didn't matter to them. Until one day he almost left me unconscious. I ended up in the hospital, I got help and put him behind the bars. My parents hated me for putting him in jail. They even said that I'm not their daughter anymore. So you see, nothing special had happened, just some ordinary shit." She shrugged. Her eyes didn't sparkle, she didn't smile, she wasn't sad either. Her voice was flat, almost to the point of mockery. Her eyes were empty, and her face was void of any emotions. She was just a living shell, trying to put the pieces back together.
Hoseok didn't like that. If she was indeed his friend, seeing her like that broke his heart. "Why didn't you reach out to me?" He asked disappointed that he had no idea what was happening to her. While his life was pretty much normal, hers was filled with darkness, tears and pain.
"What would have been the point of it all? What could you have done? I couldn't expect someone to save me, I had to save myself."
Hoseok ran his hand through his hair. "I feel like shit."
Becky thought for a second. If he ran to her aid, would she had let him help her? Could she have healed by herself? She kind of judged him too fast. He was right, it wasn't his choice, and she couldn't held this against him. Seeing the hurt in his eyes made her feel bad, she had made him sad. It wasn't what she wanted. She took a step closer and took his hand into hers. "I'm sorry. I..." she took a deep breath. "I might have over reacted. I know you had to go with your parents. It's normal, I guess I needed someone to blame. I'm sorry."
Hoseok's eyes grew wider. "Oh. Can you say it again? I didn't hear you." He said smirking.
Becky came closer to him punched him playfully in the arm "Don't make me say it again."
"Ash... She smiles."
"I'm not dead, duh..." Becky titled her head and looked at him, still smiling.
"We were once friends, why don't we try again?" Hoseok spurred out.
"You used to laugh a lot. Why aren't you laughing anymore? Is it because of her?"
"As much as I hate to admit this, yes. I trusted her and she betrayed me. She hurt the ones I care about."
"I understand. I would probably be the same. I have disappointed you."
"How so?" He crossed his arms on his chest and waited for her answer. He didn't understand why was she telling him that she disappointed him. She hadn't really done anything to him, not up until now. He regretted going off on her the way he did, he did want her to be his friend, he missed her. She was the only one he could tell everything. Even if it would take him quite some time to go back to how they were, he wanted to try.
"I don't think this is something you wanted me to become."
"No, it's not. I never believed I would get to do my work like this either."
"Shit happens." Becky passed him and sat on the grass. "How did you get to work for Namjoon? I never thought you would do this."
"Me either. I guess, if we want to redo our friendship, I have to tell you."
"I guess so. I told you my story after all."
"Yeah." Hoseok sat next to her. "After we moved here for a while everything was working just fine. When the company my father worked for, declared bankruptcy, I had to get a job to survive. I had a few lousy jobs until I met Namjoon and the guys. I started to work with them and paid all the loans; now we are doing perfectly fine."
"Do you enjoy what you're doing?" Becky asked, not looking at him. "I do. Natasha makes sure we are in no danger and we don't hurt innocents."
"We might just be the same."
"I don't think so." She finally looked at him. "The difference between you and I, is that I'm not stuck in the past."
"And I am?"
"You are still clinging into her. You think everyone is up to hurt you. You have to understand that we are not all the same. Some of us, are actually good people."
"I still don't trust you."
Becky smiled, and Hoseok liked her smile. It made her glow, but her smile did not touch her eyes. He couldn't blame her. "You don't have too." she whispered. "Let's make a truce."
"What truce?"
"Let's try to get along. As you said, we were friends once and we should try to be friends again."
"I would like that." For the first time in years, his smile was genuine. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship, and maybe his ticket to go back to normal, if normality was even possible for him.
