Hoseok wasn't naturally a sad guy. Before meeting his ex, and half of his relationship, he was a happy guy. After breaking up from his ex and going through all of those tragic moments, he lost faith in people, except for his friends, somehow, they were the exception to everything.

Every time he would see Jungkook shirtless, the gun wound would stare at him in the face, reminding him all over again that it was his fault he got wounded in the first place. If he wouldn't have brought her in his family, his sister wouldn't have been kidnapped and Jungkook wouldn't have been hurt.

His ex had lost her mind when Hoseok decided he was going to break up with her. He was constantly tired to make her happy, it exhausted him to keep up with her to the point where he gave up. She had some ridiculous demands from him and he couldn't continue with the toxicity she was bringing in his life. However, what happened next wasn't something he had planned. She kidnapped his sister and when he went to rescue her, she shot Jungkook in an anger fit. Namjoon wanted to kill her on the spot, yet Hoseok couldn't allow him, so he called the police and dealt with her legally, even if it ripped him apart.

Hoseok thanked God that he finally got rid of her. He couldn't kill her, not for the happy moments they shared together before all hell broke loose. He hated himself for having feelings for her after everything she did to him and both his families.

His sister had nothing to do with the fact that he decided to break up with her, she was innocent. But no, that monster had to bring her into this mess. At least she was in jail paying for all her sins. Hopefully, he will never have to see her again. Next time he was sure he will end up killing her, that's how fast you can go from love to hate in matter of seconds.

Hoseok loved her too much, she even made him stop talking to his brothers, asking him, no, demanding him to chose between her and them. At first he chose her, however, his brothers were waiting for him patiently to come back. That's how much they cared about him. They didn't judge him, not when he left, especially not when he came back with his heart broken in tiny pieces. They were always there for him.

Hoseok lighted a cigarette and stared at the sky. He would love to turn back time, to avoid her like plague just to keep everyone safe. Failing to do so, he decided that no woman will come between them again, he won't allow anyone to break that bond they shared. He had to admit, after everything that happened with his ex, he became a different person, he was too afraid to form any type of connection with another soul. He wanted his friends, his brothers to find love, but he was afraid that they will get hurt, he never tried at least. He was too afraid to do it again. That experience only made him think how bad he was at judging characters.

The night was silent and breezy, a gush of wind brushed his face and he closed his eyes at the contact, making him feel better. Maybe one day he could put everything behind him, one day he would meet the person he was destined to be with. He put out his cigarette without taking a smoke out of it. The air was too clean to pollute it with the ugly smell of burned tobacco. He took a deep breath of fresh air and went to sleep.

Apparently Jin wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep. He had heard Jimin and Yoongi walk to their rooms. He was sitting in bed contemplating about his life. He had done some shit that he wasn't supposed to, he couldn't even imagine his life and Taehyung's if they wouldn't have found Yoongi and Jimin. Taehyung was his little brother. After their parents died in a car accident they were placed in the system, bouncing from foster families to other foster family. When someone decided to adopt Taehyung but not him, he did his best to stay together, to protect him.

He ran away from the orphanage and met Yoongi in an abandoned building as he didn't have a place of his own either, and quickly became friends. Both of them were the outcast of the society, nobody wanted them. Yoongi wasn't the best person to be around. He was moody, sleepy and savage, often he would get into useless fights. Yet, he was the best at giving advice and he genuinely cared, even if he didn't show it at times. Though he had Yoongi, he still missed his brother, the only family he had left.

Yoongi helped Jin take back Taehyung. If Taehyung's new family would have been a good one who took care of him, he would have let Tae with them. However, after weeks of keeping an eye on the said family, he noticed that Tae was bruised every day, his clothes were ragged and his smile was nowhere to be seen. He went from being a happy playful child to a broken one.

The system changed both him and his brother, leaving behind a shadow of who they were. Yoongi broke into the house, gathering more evidence of his abuse. When he found out that his little brother was sleeping in a cold room with no blankets and he was beaten every day, he lost it.

He made a plan with Yoongi and one day, he took Tae out of that home. It was hard for all three to survive on the street. When they met Jimin, he was shoplifting from a shop. They followed him to the place he was living. A small dump house, abandoned for years after a fire. The first thing Jimin did was to attack them, after Yoongi explained the situation, he calmed down and allowed them to stay with him.

Jin smiled at the memory. Jimin's hair was pink, but his eyes were on fire. He thought that short Jimin was a like a bomb with short fuse. You got him angry he would explode. But his explosion wouldn't last too long before he reverted to the positive attitude he had towards everything. That's how they found out that Jimin had run from home because he couldn't stand his parents. They wanted him to dance whatever song they played. At first Jimin admitted he wanted to please them, but with time, he forgot about his own person. He couldn't remember who he was or what he was meant to be.

In days like these, Jin missed his parents the most. His mother's soothing voice that calmed him, her cooking skills, his father's presence, the things he would teach him. He remembered the day when they went fishing but didn't caught anything because Tae scared the fishes away. He still had in his wallet a picture of them together, the only picture he managed to keep. He knew that Tae would remember them too, missing them each day. Their life was far from perfect, trying every day to make the best out of it. Jin swore on his life that Taehyung will never have to face a loss again. He will protect him; they will be both safe. At the end of the day, everyone had something to fight for.
