Namjoon sneaked inside Natasha's room. He sat on the chair opposite her bed and took her hand in his, she was peacefully sleeping. "I thought I lost you." He kissed her hand. "I thought I'll never get the chance to see you again, but you are a fighter. I promise I will never let anything happen to you again. Please come back to me." A tear escaped his eyes as he watched her.

He felt miserable for the fact that he pushed her away when she needed help the most. Truth be told, he wasn't entirely guilty. If Natasha would have spoken to him about her plans, no way he would have let her go by herself. The fact that she tried to protect them with the cost of her own life, it made her a heroine in his eyes. He understood then, she was right, they were more alike than met the eye.

At least Kane won't ever come after her again. He made sure of that. After Yoongi left, they fought. Namjoon lost all sense of reality and let the hatred for the man to take over him, by the time he was finished, Kane was sitting in a pool of his own blood. Namjoon smashed his head on the floor so many times that his skull cracked opened.

"Love, nobody will take you away from me." He whispered. "We will always be together." The doctor came to check her vitals and urged Namjoon to leave her to rest. He wasn't particular keen to get out of the room, he did it anyway for her benefit.

Natasha could hear a beeping sound. She slowly opened her eyes, but her sight was blurry. She tried to speak, but nothing would come out, she wondered where she was. She couldn't believe she was alive. Someone up there loved her, there was no other way to explain how was she still breathing.

"Shhh. Don't try to speak. Rest." She heard a woman voice speaking. Though it was distorted, she couldn't figure out who it was.

Natasha looked startled and it broke Kara's heart. "Where am I?" she spoke in a hoarse voice.

"You're in the hospital."

Natasha tried to get up, but there were all sorts of things connected to her body, and her head was pounding. "I need to leave." She mumbled trying to take them out.

Kara stopped her, gently pushing her on the bed. "You are not going anywhere. You need to get better."

"Are..." Natasha closed her eyes for a couple of seconds and took a deep breath. "Are the others here?"

"Namjoon stayed with you almost every night."

"Tell him I'm dead." she sighted. The last thing she wanted was for them to look at her with pity.

Kara shook her head. "Don't be stupid, he knows you are alive. Besides, I won't lie for you. They care about you. He loves you very much, even if it's hard for me to admit it."

Natasha thought about staying or leaving. In that dark place where her mind was stuck, she came to the realization she needed to find herself. Her obsessive need to take care of the others, while forgetting about what she needed, was getting out of control. She needed to find a balance in her life.

She blinked several times. She remembered that Kane told her that her husband was waiting for her in their meeting point, she knew exactly where he was, on a certain island in Greece. They would often talk about their escape, she always wanted to visit Greece, maybe now it was the right time to go on a holiday, she never had one. Maybe she could use that free time to work on herself, to find herself. To amend all her broken pieces.

"I'm leaving."

"We already discussed this." Kara rolled her eyes. "You need to stay put and recover."

"I'm not leaving now. Once I'm recovered, I'm going to take a break from everything. I think I deserve it."

"That's something else. I agree with you. You do need a break from everything."
