"COME ON, BOYS!!!" screamed Gavroche.
"Ahem," said Éponine.
"And women, and girls," grunted Gavroche. He threw down the rope excitedly, and we all clambered down.
"No, no...Gavroche! The kids- they aren't coming. They can't, the police ---"
"Come an' get us!" shouted Gavroche.
"NO!" Éponine and I yelled.
"Know what? They're so fast, they'll be ok," said 'Ponine.
"Come on, let's catch up to them," I said, hastily pulling on my red cap, my red handkerchief, and lastly, Jehan's tan overcoat for strength.
