Jason woke up first, Harry lay sprawled across him on the sofa. The candles were still flickering and the tv was still on. Jason had no idea what time it was but it was still dark outside. He rubbed his eyes, two empty wine glasses and bottles sat on the side, they had started another film, but both never made it to the end. Jason shifted slowly out and laid her head on a cushion. There was no blanket to put over her so he took off his jack and covered her. It would be a good excuse to call round later and claim it back. Jason blew out what was left of the flickering candles and turned the tv off. He slipped out the front door as quietly as he could and walked the few steps home. According the hallway clock it was six in the morning. Jason showered and dressed in his running gear before making the call to Millan, he had to talk to Caron and somehow try and explain it was over between them.
The phone rang and rang, before going to voice mail, Jason hung up and tried again, he just couldn't leave it.
"Hello... Jason? What time is it?"
"Hi, about 7 am, look we need to talk!"
"Now?" Caron sounded half asleep he could hear her yawning.
"I know. Look, I don't want to do this over the phone.."
"Do what?" Caron sounded suspicious.
"I just think we need to break away from each other..." Jason breathed out as he said it, he really hated doing this over the phone it wasn't right, he much preferred face to face conversations.
"But we are, I mean we are literally hundreds of miles apart?" Caron sounded confused but was also trying to make light of it, he knew that she understood what he meant.
"I know ... but I mean I think it's time we call it a day, I really don't want to do this over the phone, but there's no way of ..."
Caron interrupted, "then don't, don't do this, I don't understand, is it because I am working, you knew I was a model and needed to travel."
"It's nothing to do with you working, there's just some things going on in my life at the moment, and look... we can talk about this when I see you but I... we need to finish this now, before anyone gets hurt."
"Get's hurt, what on earth are you talking about, Jason I don't understand, we were fine two weeks ago, you met someone else?"
"No" Jason rubbed his eyes, well that was a lie! "Things are just different now..."
"Different how? Jason you are not making any sense at all, are you drunk?"
"No I am not drunk, Caron."
"Look I'll fly over we are nearly wrapped up anyway and we can talk about this."
"No, not now, I'll be heading back to the States in a couple of weeks we'll talk then," Jason couldn't bear the thought of Caron flying here, not here and not now. "Look I gotta go, I'll call again," Jason hung up the phone, he felt like shit for what he had done, but how could he have feelings for someone else if he really loved her.
Leaving the house, he saw Harry's lights on, he knocked on her door.
Harry opened it, she had obviously just had a shower and was wearing nothing but a bath robe.
"You really shouldn't open the door dressed like that," Jason smiled, his brown eyes alight with a twinkle.
"How would you prefer... completely naked?" Harry raised one eyebrow, she was openly with unabandon, flirting with him.
Jason was tempted to push her back inside and explore whatever ever was underneath the bath towel, he took a step back trying to avoid the temptation.
