Jitters

Next day Y/n pov 

I'm sitting in the gym between Kageyama and Tsukki. "Let's talk about positions for the practice game," Daichi began to talk, "This is the starting line up that I've come up with."

Bench: Sugwara (S, Yamaguchi (MB), Kinoshita (WS), and Y/n (MB, WS)

Line up: Tanaka (WS), Kageyama (S), Hinata (MB), Tsukishima (MB), Narita (WS) and Ennoshita (WS)

"I want Kageyama and Hinata as a pair and Y/n will go in when Hinata either loses steam or to help receives, she can also be our second secret weapon. Tsukishima is our tallest player, so I want to see how much of an advantage we can get over Sejioh."

"Fine," Tsukki sighs while Kageyama and Hinata give each other side glares. 

Tadashi looks a little sad

"Wait, why are Hinata and Y/n in the positions that needs a tall person? Also Y/n has 2 positions under her name." Tanaka points out

"He's right! Why are we all middle blockers?" Hinata looks surprised

"Because, you and Y/n will be our number 1 Decoys!" Kageyama proudly proclaims. "I'm the number 1! Decoy?" Hinata looks confused, "That sounds so lame."

"Think of it like this, we'll seem like the biggest concern to the opposing team but when they're eyes are all on us other spikers will grab the rug from under them," I explain hoping to make him feel better. 

"That's right, tall dudes like Tsukishima will fall easily into our traps like the idiots they are," Kageyama smirks as Hinata's eyes sparkle. "Hey, you better not be calling Tsukki an idiot!" Tadashi yells. "Shut up, Tadashi," Tsukki glares at him. "Hehe, sorry Tsukki."

"But listen if you guys aren't at the top of your game, then all our other attacks will fall apart, that's also another reason why Y/n has another position. In stead of focusing on spiking, we can benefit from her speed to receive the balls that are rebounded or hit in areas that the other teams see as a weakness," Kageyama continues to explain. I nod my head in agreement but I see Hinata's panicked expression, "Maybe  you shouldn't pressure him so much. Hinata, are you okay?" 

Hinata began muttering to himself, "Don't fall apart, don't fall apart, don't fall apart..." Daichi smacks Kageyama's head, "You broke him!"

Tanaka asks, "What about blocking? Even if they can jump really high it'll take them longer to reach the other guys height because they're so short." 

"Already thought of that. Hinata and Y/n will be more focused on slowing the ball down by touching it. If they can slow the momentum of the ball, we have a better chance at receiving," Kageyama explains. "Do you really think they can do that?" Tanaka asks. "I can," I respond, "but Hinata will have to work on it, nothing ever goes right on the first try."

"As long as he attempts that's all that matters. It's not a really match anyway, this practice will help him with air combat. All we know is that Tsukishima, Y/n and Kageyama are the only ones who can compete with him, so Hinata just do your best." Daichi turns to Hinata who starts yelling, "Right! I'll do my best by earn lots of points and I'll be the perfect decoy! I'll serve, I'll do quick attacks, I'll block, whatever you need I'll do!!"

"Hinata! Calm down! It's just a practice match," I grab his shoulders in hopes of him calming down, but his head just exploded with steam and he had a really red face.

"We lost him! I think he just short circuited!"

"Ohhh crap! We killed him!"
