Flashback
A little girl was sitting down crying on a playground, "What's wrong little girl?" An old man came and crouched to her level. "M-My Mommy and D-Daddy aren't here and I'm sad! I wanted to prove I could do things on my own, but I got lost," The little girl was hysterical. "Tell me your parents phone number, so I can call them," the man pulls out a phone. "No!" The girl grabs his arm, "You can't! Mommy and Daddy said not to bother unless it was an emergency!" Her swollen red eyes pleaded to him
"Why don't you want to let your parents know what's going on?" he puts his phone away. "They always have to leave me by myself, they have to work for long periods of time," she looks at the ground, "if I called them and told them I got lost it wouldn't do any good, I would just add another thing to burden them with."
The man was silent, "If you're lonely and in need of friends I know some people who would be happy to meat you." She looks at him suspiciously, "Haha, don't worry little girl," the old man laughs at her sharp gaze, "These are nice people, one of them is my grandson. He's always said he wouldn't mind a little sister."
"I can't leave home, my parents want me to take care of the house."
"Then I promise to come visit you every day and spend time with you so you won't be lonely." The girl looks at him in amazement, "Really?!"
"Yeah, come on," the old man took her hand in his, "why don't I show you what we'd be doing most of the time. The girl got a little nervous, "What do you mean?"
"Well, I'm a volleyball coach. I thought that you could learn something and have fun while making friends." She tilts her head, "Volleyball?" He smiles, "You'll see. I have a good feeling about you kid."
"By the way, I'm Ikkei Ukai, you can call me Coach Ukai or gramps"
"I'm Y/n, thank you."

Y/n pov
"It's been awhile, big brother," I smile at him. "Yeah, it has!" The store manager smiles back at her, "I thought that was you but you've grown so much over the years. Let me put a pot on and we can catch up." "Thank you," I set my stuff down
"I almost didn't recognize you, Keishin, your hair sorta improved. I think I finally realized it was you until you yelled at the boys to build muscle," I relax at the table. "Yeah, you were always yelling at me to do that every time I pigged out on the food you made," he smiles as he reminisces.
"Did you join Karasuno hoping to see Gramps again?" he asks me. "Yeah, I was hoping to learn under him again. I heard he collapsed and is in the hospital," I take a cup of tea from Keishin. "Yep, the dumb fart over worked himself again." We continue to talk until the phone rang, "Excuse me for one second." Keishin got up to answer it
"Sakanoshita Store"
......
"Not giving up, huh?"
What's that mean? I listen to their conversation
"My answer is still no, sorry. Have a good night," Keishin came back.
"What was that?" I ask him. "Some guy named Takeada from your school is trying to get me to coach your team," he sighs with annoyance, "I keep telling him no, but the guy is so persistent." I smile at him and open my mouth, "No, Y/n," he cuts me off before I could even start. I pout, "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll come around. Thank you for the tea, I gotta get home." I stand up and grab my stuff. "I highly doubt it, but seeya, Y/n!" He waves goodbye to me
