Y/n pov

Tanaka smirks when I ask him to talk to him, "Sure, just let me get my stuff and we can be on our way. I know a good place to get some grub." After getting his stuff we walk down the road to a little restaurant. "Yo! Can I get some food?!" He yells to the kitchen. "Is that you, Tanaka?" A gruff voice yells back. "Of course it is, you old fart!"

A few minutes pass and an old man came out with some food in a to-go box, "Here, it's the last of the food. Be grateful and don't say I didn't do anything for you!" Tanaka takes the box and smells it, "Alright! Thanks, old man!" "Don't call me that! Or old fart!"

Walking out of the restaurant, we find a table to sit at. Opening the container we split the food and I look at the bright starry sky, "Thank you, this is really nice." "No problem, I thought you might want a little pick-me up." Finishing the food he turns to me, "When ever you're ready, I'll listen." I clean my hands and start to explain what happened between me and (X/bff).

"So, tell me about your parents. I really want to know what (X/bff) said was true." I sigh at his request, "My parents.....love me, they work really hard to make sure I grow up with everything I want you know like toys or clothes." He frowns, "But they didn't though, they forgot the one thing that every kid wants, no, needs!" I tilt my head, "What did I need?"

He sighs, "You need their love like affection, you never really got that from them did you?" Tears welt up in my eyes, "There was apart of me that wanted that, more than anything else but I learned to accept the fact that I won't ever get that." He pats my head, "You will one day and when you do, you'll never want to let it go."

Wiping my tears away he hugs me tight, "You're not alone anymore, you don't have to be afraid." I burrow my face into his neck, "Thank you, it means a lot to me to hear those words." He kisses my ear while still hugging me.

Letting go of me he stands up taking out trash to a trashcan, I follow him and continue to walk down the road. While walking he kept making me laugh, forgetting my problems and made me feel like we were the only 2 people in the world.
