Bucks pov
She looked like she was deep in thought when she walked in with ember right by her side
" hey is everything ok "
" yeah umm Jake asked me to go to his parent show and tell "
She looked at me like she didn't know what to say next then she said
" I asked if he wanted you instead you have better story's and he said no "
" please you have ten times better story's "
" safe for kids though "
" you got this "
She put her stuff away and right when she got upstairs the bell went off and we got ready to go to a house fire.

" can't you just say you're sick or something "
" no "
She laughed
" now go pick him up you're already 30 minutes late "
" ugh fine "
" I put a recipe on the counter "
" let's hope it doesn't turn out like the chicken "
We both laughed the last time I wanted me to make chicken I somehow started it on fire in a pan so from that day forward I swore to never make chicken again unless she was home.

Ruby's pov
I turned him so he was looking at me we were a few feet from the door and I gave him a kiss
" ok now go get Jake "
" fine "
He walked out like a little kid that was just told to clean his room
" why would you get another kid you already have one "
Eddie joked as he walked over to clean part of the truck and I followed
" hey so did Christopher have you do a show and tell thing "
A small smile appeared on his face and he said
" yeah umm I told them about my ' lucky charm ' a St. Christopher necklace "
" oh ok so what's safe to tell them I mean I don't want to say something and have his class laugh at him "
He let out a small laugh
" umm tell them about whatever you feel comfortable and remember their kids "
" ok so no war story's "

We both laughed and I help him with the truck.

" Ember time to go "

Eddie whined because she was snuggling with him on the couch
" Sorry but we have to "

She ran down the stairs and I put her in the front seat and drove home. When I opened the door she went in first and went straight to Jake. I put my stuff down

He pulled a plate out of the fridge and then put it in the microwave
" go get cleaned up "
He rubbed his forehead and when I did the same there was a black substance on my finger
" yeah I guess I should "
I laughed and went and took a quick shower. I walked down the stairs and said
" prettier clean "
Jake smile and nodded his head I grabbed the plate and sat down at the table with them
"a good job in the fettuccine Alfredo "
He looked at me and his face lit up

" yes ... oh ok so you still want me to come to talk to your class right Jake "
" yeah "
" what should I talk about "
" Ummm being a firefighter "
He smiled
" ok when is it "

Buck said with a scared look on his face I couldn't help but laugh
" ok well shall we work on it "
Bucks phone started to ring so he walked away from us a little then after five minutes he came back and

I jumped up and gave him a hug and I looked back at Jake

Then he ran over and hugged us I couldn't help but start to cry a little.
