I immediately relaxed upon Giovani and MissingTwo being stopped. "Thank goodness it's over."

Blue crossed his arms and looked out at the city. The corruption had consumed the entire city and was spreading even further. "Not quite."

Suicune walked over to the edge and looked up at Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh spread its wings and Suicune started to focus. Raikou joined them and the city began to shine.

In a short amount of time, the corruption was reversed entirely. "So the Legendary Beasts and Ho-Oh can also reverse corruption." Bill mused.

I gasped as I came to a realization. "That's why they tried to destroy Raikou! It's like why they attacked Unown, it was a threat to MissingTwo!"

"I'm curious though, how was MissingTwo back?" Daisy wondered. "Red destroyed him I thought."

Alex's eyebrows went up. "I remember while I was in Mahogany Town the grunts talked about Giovani finding a fragment of something in Cerulean Cave that was giving him his new plan. Maybe part of it escaped."

Well, something tells me it's gone for good now. Red thought.

"It better be. I'm gettin' too old to keep fightin' these villains." The lady with the Pikachu said. I finally got a good look at the woman and realized she was none other than Yellow.

Yellow was an incredibly powerful trainer and had even been the champion before Red beat her. I had seen her in some insane battles on TV.

Blue put his arm around Yellow and pointed at us. "These were the kids I was telling you about, I knew I had a good feeling about them."

Lillie stared at Ho-Oh. "I wonder if they could help my mother..."

Bill shrugged. "If my plan doesn't work out it may be worth a shot."

"Right, I'll befriend one of them if I need to. Whatever it takes." Lillie decided.

Morty appeared from within the tower followed by the Kimono Girls. "Goodness, is it over already?"

Alex nodded. "These two managed to do all the work with the Legendary Beasts." He pointed at us.

"Hang on a second," I looked at Alex. "What were you doing in Ecruteak?"

Alex shrugged. "After I lost... I guess I realized how miserable battling had become. I want to have fun with my Pokémon again. You and Electabuzz helped me realize that if I stick with my Pokémon and have fun, they can go beyond their limits."

Jess playfully punched Alex on the arm. "See tough guy? I was right all along!"

"I'm glad you've returned to your old self, Alex," Morty said to his friend. "As for you Gold, while I was corrupted I do believe I saw you riding Raikou and fighting Ho-Oh, is that true?"

I explained to him what Silver and I had done to stop Giovani's plan and how I had worked with Raikou. When I finished telling him what had happened I looked down at Espeon.

"Espeon's a lot stronger now, you guys have done a great job training her," I said to the Kimono Girls.

One of the girls chuckled. "Well, we had lots of help from Jessica. She really knew how to work with your Pokémon and bring out Espeon's strength." Jess's face flushed red.

Morty cleared his throat. "Well Gold. You and Silver have done a great thing defending this city and the Legendary Pokémon we celebrate. I cannot thank you enough."

Silver smiled sheepishly. "Don't mention it." He told Morty.

Alex noticed Eusine and Suicune standing together. "Wow, Eusine. I'm surprised you can hold yourself together right now." He joked.

Eusine rolled his eyes. "Very funny. But I have finally reconciled with Suicune. While my words had little affect on it, once I helped it from the corruption it grew to trust me."

"Indeed, the Legendary Beasts seems to be much warmer around us from all of this. That, at the very least, is a great positive." Morty added.

"Well," Blue put a pair of sunglasses on. "What do you guys say we finally wrap up this festival?"

Morty asked Silver and me to stay up with him while the rest of the group went back down to the town and people began to return to the square.

Raikou and Suicune stood at the front of the tower and were soon joined by Entei, a bulky Pokémon with thick brown fur on its body. Ho-Oh sat perched behind the three Pokémon and Silver, Morty, the Kimono Girls, and I stood off to the side.

Morty cleared his throat and stepped forward. "People of Ecruteak! I thank you all for coming here after what just ensued! While it's later than when we normally do these, it is time for the Closing Ceremony!"

The Kimono Girls started to dance similarly to what they did the night I met them. The bells on the ends of the roof started to ring rhythmically and I was mesmerized once again by the sight.

The Legendary Beasts all began to howl into the sky and as the dance began to end Ho-Oh shouted its name and I looked up to see a rainbow had formed above us.

The people from below started to applaud as the performance came to a close. Ho-Oh took off into the sky and looped around us. A feather fell from its body and it flew off.

The feather fell over to me and I grabbed hold of it. The feather had a glow to it and seemed to almost float in my hands. I gently put it into my bag.

Morty gazed at me. "A Rainbow Wing... Ho-Oh would like to have a battle with you one day. Mayhaps it might even want to join your team. I can explain it better later, once you're ready." He said to me.

Raikou turned around and nodded at me. "I'll see you around Raikou!" I said to the electric legend. It leaped off the tower and ran into the trees along with the other two Legendary Beasts.

I noticed that the sun was nearly completely down and turned to Silver. "Let's go back to everyone else!"

We rejoined the rest of the group and I was able to reunite with all of my Pokémon and everyone else.

The celebration continued for a little while longer. Blue approached Silver and me partway into the night. "So you kids are taking on the Pokémon League soon, right?"

We nodded. "And I'm going to win!" I promised.

Blue smiled. "You just might. I'm looking forward to seeing you battle Red based on how you did against Ho-Oh."

Eventually, Silver and I got tired and Red offered to fly us back to our hometown. We arrived home and immediately went to bed.

A day later after lots of rest Silver and I met up in the morning and traveled east. We crossed a bridge and officially arrived in the Kanto region.

The Tohjo Falls raged in the cave next to the mountain as we stepped onto Route 27. The trainers in the area ranged in difficulty but we got through Route 27 and 28 in good time and reached the entrance to the Pokémon League.

One of the people there checked our badges and allowed us to proceed into Victory Road.

I was insanely excited to enter the dark cavern. It was the final challenge before the Pokémon League, something I had dreamed of doing ever since I was young.

It was unfortunately completely devoid of anything. There were a few wild Pokémon in the area but there were no trainers to be seen.

"Why's nobody here?" I wondered aloud.

We continued through the cave and came across an entire arena in the cavern. It was about the size of the average gym battlefield but filled to the brim with stones.

Silver stood in the center of the arena. "So Gold, I know we always talk about which one of us will take on the Pokémon League first but we never really decided, right?"

I nodded absentmindedly. "Yeah. I guess we never did."

Silver smiled at me. "Then let's decide right now. A full battle between you and me right here. The winner gets to take on the Pokémon League first."

"Seriously?" I confirmed and my friend nodded. A grin formed on my face and I ran to one end. "Alright! Let's do this!"
