My friend and I stepped out of the cave and into the light. I took in the wonderfully clear air and felt the sun on my skin once again. A few hours had passed during our caving excursion.

We wandered out and enjoyed the fairly cool weather on the grass route. There were a few wild Pokémon running around but the area was mostly barren.

"Hey Silver," I said to my friend while we strolled down the dirt path. "When we get to the sound do you want to take on the gym first this time?" I offered.

Silver moved his shoulders up and down. "I guess so. Now that I have more Pokémon I'm sure I can win." He told me confidently.

We turned a corner and come upon the entrance of Azalea Town. A small well stood off to the side and the town was completely surrounded by trees.

Unlike Violet City the town wasn't nearly as modernized. There were only a few dirt paths leading to the small cluster of homes, Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, and the Gym.

I could hear bug Pokémon buzzing in the trees as we approached the town and noticed a few Pokémon hanging on the trees and flying in the sky.

A few Slowpoke were milling about the town. The purple quadrupeds moved very slowly and deliberately. A few looked up at us but most paid us no mind.

We made our way into the Pokémon Center and as we approached the counter I saw a man talking to the Nurse Joy. "So the Slowpoke Well is unoccupied?" The man asked.

The man had a purple cape draped over his shoulders that ended at his waist. He was dressed in purple pants and a purple shirt with white gloves covering his hands.

Nurse Joy nodded and handed him his Poké Balls. "The well is mainly occupied by our town's Slowpoke but it's also a cave."

The trainer put his Poké Balls away and smiled.  As we got closer I noticed he had mostly plain facial features and dirty blonde hair with one long strand running down his face. "Perfect! Suicune is surely down there then."

I looked over at him as I heard him say this. "Suicune? What's that?" I asked as Silver and I handed our Pokémon to the nurse.

The man seemed to notice me for the first time and put his hands together. "You've never heard the legend of the Burned Tower, I assume?"

I looked over and Silver and he gave me a confused look. "Don't look at me. If you don't know then I sure don't."

"Well, long ago in Ecruteak City there was a beautiful, tall tower that worshipped the mighty Ho-Oh." The man smoke with a whimsical tone. "However, it was struck by lightning one day and burned down. Everyone was able to escape... except for three Pokémon. Ho-Oh came and brought rain to the town, and with that rain he gave life back to these Pokémon. They were reborn as Entei, Raikou, and Suicune.

"These Pokémon were incredibly powerful. Legendary, in fact," The trainer continued. "The people were afraid and attacked them, and they lost their trust in humans. They vanished into the wild and have scarcely been seen since. I've been following Suicune's trail, and I believe it's in the well near this town."

"You're looking for a legendary Pokémon?" I awed. "That's amazing! And it's nearby?"

He nodded. "Indeed. Trainers, what might your names be?"

"I'm Silver," Silver said as our newly healed Pokémon were returned to us.

I put the Poké Balls away. "And I'm Gold!"

"Wonderful to meet you both! I am Eusine!" He told us. "Now, if you'll excuse me. I must go before Suicune vanishes."

Eusine started to walk off and I hurried after him. "Wait! Do you think we could come with you? I'd really like to see a legendary Pokémon!" I said.
