COURTNEYS POV
"are you insane?" cody shouted to duncan, getting up on his feet and pointing a finger at him. trent stood up soon after, not to join in but to put a hand on codys shoulder. as if the twerp would try and fight duncan anyways.
"he had it coming." courtney commented under her breath, sending a glance towards the punk. cody just stood there, before letting out a frustrated huff and crossing his arms.
"he was being an ass but you didnt have to go ahead and punch him in the nose!" cody persisted, throwing his arms out to his side and glaring at duncan. he was silent, staring at his bloody fist.
"...fuck. i did that." duncan grunted, dragging his hands down his face and collapsing on the couch. the atmosphere in the room suddenly shifted, the majority of the people only assuming duncan was a heartless asshole who didnt give a single shit that he punched noah.
neither of them were in the right. duncan tormented and taunted noah, and punched him, but noah had also unnecessarily insulted nearly everyone. hopefully the two idiots weren't arrogant and they actually knew what they've done wrong.
"im getting out of here." duncan abruptly stood up, hastily making his way towards the front door and swinging it open. he had sent a final glance towards the crowd, did a little punk symbol with his hands, and left.
cody let out a sigh, anxiously staring at the bathroom door as his finger tapped against his leg. trent sympathetically rubbed his shoulder. what was cody so beat up about?
the door opened again, and duncan peeked his head through the doorway. courtney lifted a brow, staring at him, and he let out a sheepish smile.
"could you drive me home, princess?" he asked, to which courtney just rolled her eyes and stood up. right. she, duncan, alejandro, and heather had all carpooled together in courtneys car.
courtney sent a wave to heather and alejandro, a small smile towards gwen, and picked up her keys and left. duncan let out a smirk as she walked past him, following the brunette to her car and opening the passenger seat door.
car ride with duncan. fantastic.
"thanks, princess." duncan grinned, putting his feet up on the dashboard and reclining his carseat so he could lean backwards. courtney rolled her eyes, punching his calf.
"hey! you're no fun." he complained, pulling his legs down and sitting normally, and courtney forced his carseat to go to its initial angle.
"someone has to keep the idiots in check." she commented dryly, putting the key in the exhaust and turning it, pressing the pedal and backing out of the driveway, nearly scraping against gwens car in the process. oops.
"do you know how to drive?" duncan teased, pointing his thumb to the black honda. courtney tightened her grip on the steering wheel to refrain from wacking duncan.
"at least i have a driver's license. and it's not my fault everyone parks so weird." she explained, finally getting out of the cramped driveway and pulling the car onto the main road.
"can we go get food first? im hungry." duncan complained, putting his hands over his stomach dramatically as he stared at courtney.
"fine." she sent a glare at him, before turning back to the road. duncan grinned, and courtney could see him grabbing her phone out of the corner of her eye.
duncan may be an absolute asshole at times, but she knew he wouldnt do anything horrible. and besides, a lot of courtneys apps had special locks on them.
