sorry for this cody angst going on for so long, ill try and finish it up quick and maybe actually get the duncney and aleheather content ive been neglecting.

er, this was kind of a plot to make noco more of a slow burn and get the focus off of them for a bit. there cant be gay tension when one of them is in a relationship with a very very jealous girlfriend. my sincerest apologies if those last chapters made you uncomfortable, i nearly gagged as i was writing them myself.

god, im beginning to type like noah. next thing you know ill be pining over some dumbass and painting my nails black.

oh wait, that's already happening.

TRENTS POV (third person limited)

today wasnt a mr.brightside day. today wasn't a riptide day. today wasnt a she would be loved day.

today was a radiohead day. and you know that something serious is going down when you start to play some radiohead.

trent pulled his car into the empty parking lot of codys house, the building two stories with an expensive looking patio. a few chairs decorated near the entrance, some flags hanging above the garage.

with his friends parents on buisiness trips nearly all the time, needless to say they racked up a lot of money for a nice house. but, sadly, the only person who would be inside of that house half the time was cody. how the brunette managed to survive this long by his lonesome? trent had no clue.

turning off his radio and taking his key from the ignition, trent popped open the car door and hopped out, the summer sun beating down on his shoulders as he slammed his car shut. a press of his finger against his keys, and the vehicle made a clicking noise, the doors locking.

trent glanced around the empty street for a few moments, before ducking his head and making his way towards the front door. he and cody were very close friends, trent coming over to his house often and the two of them messing around with some instruments trapped in codys basement, or some video games on codys wii.

however, that was not the reason trent had came along today.

without waiting another moment, trent pulled out the house key he had been gifted all those months ago, quickly unlocking the door and slipping inside. cody was aware he was coming, the brunette sending out a simple 'ill tell you when you get there' in response to trents fussing.

the house was oddly quiet, and on instinct trent had walked around softly as if to not disturb some unknown presence. he made his way towards the tall wooden staircase, hand running across the support beam as he scaled his way up and made his way to codys room. the entrance was shut, but a ray of artificial light had shown from the crack in the door.

"hey, buddy, it's trent. you in here?" he called, knocking his knuckle against the wood as he pressed his ear against the door. no noises. nothing. furrowing his brow, trent placed his hand on the door handle and swung the door open.

empty.

"right here." a voice piped up from behind him, and trent turned around to see cody. a thick blue blanket was wrapped around his body, atop his head as well, almost like a cocoon.

to put it nicely, cody didnt look his best. the dark circles under his eyes were turning towards a red, matching the hue of the whites of his eyes and the tip of his nose. his lips were chapped, a rare sight because half the time he wore chapsticks because 'he liked the way they tasted.' his hair was a big mess, tendrils of the brunette mop pointing every which was from underneath the cotton fabric.
