We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes

Elena must not really trust Stefan and me at the moment if she called Damon last night. I don't really know what happened. After Damon called Stefan, Stefan called me and said that Elena killed Jeremy. Of course, I started to freak out. Elena jammed a knife into Jeremy's neck because she thought it was Connor. Since last night it was like Elena was hallucinating the dead hunter. I'm just glad Jeremy had the Gilbert ring on or else he would have been dead...even though the ring was the reason it drove Ric crazy.

"But I don't understand why she would think Connor is trying to kill her?" I questioned as Stefan and I walked towards Elena's house. "The man's dead. If anything we should be hiding from Klaus before he kills us."

"I don't think you'll have to worry about Klaus," Stefan suggested. "With Connor gone, we have no way to find the cure. And with Elena's emotions all heightened, she's feeling more guilt."

"So you think Elena's only hallucinating because she feels guilty about her kill?" I summed up. "That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard."

"Well, do you have any other explanation?"

I held my finger up to say something but then I realized I had nothing to back it up. "No, I got nothing."

Stefan let out a tired sigh as we walked up to the Gibert household. We really need to teach Elena to lock her door because anyone could just in here without a care in the world.

"Hey," Stefan greeted as we walked in.

Damon grimaced when Elena's mouth flew open upon our arrival. "P.S. I called Stefan and Bela."

"What happened? Why didn't you call us?"

Elena was looking everywhere but us and said, "I just - I need to go upstairs and shower." She raised her dried bloody hand. "Clean all the blood off my hands."

Right when Elena went upstairs, Jeremy rose up from the couch with a huge gasp. I sighed in relief as I knelt down and hugged him. "Thank, God."

"No, thank the ring," Damon commented. I glared at him after I pulled away from Jeremy.

"How you feeling?" I asked Jer.

"What happened?" Jeremy gasped while Stefan went upstairs after his girlfriend.

"Long story. Buy the E-book," Damon answered before walking towards the kitchen.

I flipped Damon off before looking at Jer. "From what Damon told me...Elena killed you last night."

"What?" Jeremy asked in disbelief.

"She got some crazy idea that you were Connor attacking her and well..." I pointed to his neck as I trailed off. "Jer, what happened last night?"

Jeremy craned his neck and said, "I don't know. I woke up to Elena screaming and I ran downstairs. When I got to the kitchen I suddenly felt this stabbing pain in my neck before I blacked out."

"Well, good thing you have that ring or else we would have lost you."

"Yeah, I'm glad I didn't take it off."

"Do you anything?"

"No, thanks." Jeremy got up. "I just remembered that Bonnie needs my help set up for this occult exhibit."

"Ooh, something that's right up my ally." And Kol's. I remember him telling me that he used to travel around the world and find witches who would tell him old legends and curses. And I understand why he doesn't want to be here. Elena stabbed him and Stefan did compel him to forget about his little talk with Klaus. "In that case, let me know if you need anything, ok?"
