Team's Pov

I sat there crying in a familiar embrace.

"I'm here to help you get rid of that addiction."

How could he possibly help? He is the one who put me in this situation.

"And how do you think you're going to do that?"

I asked him, scoffing.

"Healing our relationship."

He means putting us back together. Is that even possible at this point? I turned around, and looked him straight in the eyes.

My heart started to panic. My breath, once again, became quick. But, I had to get over it. This was the first step.

A stare.

A single stare put my body at risk. But, I was willing to go all the way.

"Are you okay?"

Win asked, panic in his voice.

He started to come closer, but I put a hand up, signaling for him to stop.

"I have to do this. I have to be able to look at you for this to work."

Win looked concerned, but he nodded.

I continued to stare as my body became weaker. I wasn't going to let myself faint. I was going to get over this. I had to. As I stared, I gripped the grass below my shaking hand. Before I knew it, I had been staring at him for five minutes. I had stayed conscious for five minutes while looking at him. Tears falling like rain on a cold spring morning, my body holding out as if it were my last moments on Earth.

All of a sudden, my vision started to come back. The sound of chirping birds filled my ears once again, and my body stopped trembling. I pulled my hands up to see if they were shaking, but they were completely still. I laughed in disbelief, but it was more the sound of air than an actual laugh. I put a hand over my mouth as I smiled incredibly wide. The first real smile that I had shown in months. Tears were still falling, but they were tears of joy.

I fell on my back and rolled around on the soft grass. I laughed and cried. I grabbed my head, and laid in shock for a moment. After that moment, I rolled around again, pure ecstasy in my heart. Adrenaline controlling my body, I ran to Win, and hugged him.

"I knew you could do it."

--

Eyes fluttering open, I looked at the man moving around busily in his kitchen. He was preparing my favorite breakfast again. He was wearing plaid pajama pants with a white T-shirt. He knew I loved those clothes, so he put them on. Even though, most of the time, he sleeps in only his boxers.

I could see him start to walk over to me, and my heart became at ease. It seemed like everything, even the feeling of nothing, was being lifted off me. He sat next to my body laying on the bed, and hugged me softly. It was warm.

I hummed in satisfaction. His arms perfectly wrapped around my thin body, everything seemed so surreal. He gave me a kind of peace that I had never known before.

"I made breakfast today."

His voice was sweetly quiet.

I rubbed my head on his stomach.

"Come on, my little prince."

He said as he messed with my already ruffled hair.

I pouted as he got up, and stretched out my hands. He smiled as he helped me out of bed.

I faced him as he held my waist with his reassuring hands. I put my arms over his shoulders, and laid my head on his chest. I could hear a little giggle right by my ear. His arms wrapped around my waist as he picked me up like a sleeping four-month-old.

He walked me over to the kitchen table, and placed me softly on a chair with a pillow. He let go of me, and sat on the other side of the table.

"Go ahead, eat. I know it's your favorite."

I took a bite of the flavorful food, and smiled.

"I'll walk with you around school today. Just hold my hand, and you'll be fine."

I nodded.

I had previously told him last night that I have become very jumpy. Things scare me a lot easier than they used to. I guess I'll have to get over that too.

-

We walked out of the apartment, hand in hand. I wasn't going to let go of his hand no matter what.

When we arrived at school, the loud noises of social conversation and people laughing filled my head. It was a sound I hadn't heard in a long time. In fact, it was almost too much.

Hands still locked, Win and I sat down at a table where the rest of our friends were.

"You guys..."

I looked at Dean, who was speaking quietly.

"Hm?"

"You guys are okay now?"

I understood what he meant immediately.

"Well, we're working on it."

"That's good. It means that you'll be okay soon. Because you're making the effort of helping yourself."

I nodded.

A loud noise.

I grabbed Win, and he hugged me.

"It's okay... It's okay..."

He said as he rubbed my back.

"Nothing's going to hurt you. I'm here. It's fine."

I calmed down after hearing his voice.

This was going to be hard...
