Team's POV
After minutes of simply staring, I spoke up, not wanting to make this any more awkward than it already was.
"I can't believe what's become of us."
I chuckled, but it was upsetting.
"I know, right?"
I played with the blanket covering my cold legs.
"I hate that it's like this."
"Well, who's fault is that?"
Silence.
My eyes went wide.
Did I really just say that?
Win scoffed, and put his hand on his forehead, as if he had a headache.
"Are you kidding me?"
All of a sudden, a flash of anger took over my brain. I wanted to yell at him.
"No, I'm not. Why would you think I'm kidding?"
"Oh, so you're telling me that you think this is my fault?"
"Of course it is! You're the one who broke up with me."
"That's because you were avoiding me."
"That doesn't justify your way of breaking up with me."
"I think it does."
"No it doesn't. That's your personality speaking there."
He scoffed.
"Who says it's my personality?! I don't think my personality speaks for me."
"Then maybe you just don't realize how terrible you are!"
"Okay, maybe I can be rude, but I am not terrible!"
"You're such a liar!"
"And you never listen to me!"
"Well then, maybe we would be better off without each other!!"
The room was dead silent.
I realized what I just said, but I didn't say anything else. It was his decision whether he wanted to leave or not.
I sighed.
"If you leave this room within the next ten minutes, we're done."
I didn't look up out of fear of seeing his broken face.
"If you stay... I'm gonna need to think."
There was still nothing.
Three minutes had passed, and he still wasn't leaving.
I still didn't expect him to stay, though.
